I went through countless cell blocks, but had no luck finding them. They kept screaming, “JEROME, JEROME, JEROME.” I yelled, “I’M COMING MOM AND DAD”. That was the stupidest thing I have ever done and I am going to regret it for the rest of my life. By yelling, I gave away my position to the countless prisoners lurking the area. Also every single prisoner there hated my parents because they were their guards.
– screaming monster. - Stubborn creature! – said the second. I watched in horror as they hang the guy's legs, and he's already moving along the conveyor. But I was surprised that I saw the horror not only in the eyes of the future of dinner, but one of the guards.
We would also watch the storms come in on our porch because my mom has always loved storms and it is something that I enjoy with her. A bitter-sweet story of my childhood was in half day kindergarten we had a meeting with our parents and the teacher at the end of the year and the first two kids to get to her classroom got a fish. I was the first and I got fish and its name was Snowflake. I died about two weeks later so me and my mom went to Walmart and bought a new one. It was orange so I named it Peaches and it died in less than two weeks.
The red cross hepl people in a house that was on fire and if they didn’t a lot of people would of died. Kids from boston were dying from diseases and if you send money to the hospital or to the kid who you want to help. Someone in the New York pool went to the deep end and almost drowned but my cousin saved him. One of my friends didn’t have money in her acount to buy a lunch so I gave her some of my food because she was really hungry. Another friend of mine was crying because she got bad grade in one of her class so I helped her calm down and get here grade up a little by the next quiz or test.
After my mom forced me to get my Eagle (the highest rank in scouting) I thought I was ready to retire the sash, but my mom had one more trick up her sleeve… I learned I was going to philmont about a month before school ended. For those who don't know, philmont is a “high adventure” boy scout camp, and when you go there you put all of your belongings on your back and hike a route that your crew created, occasionally stopping at various outposts. At first I was very reluctant to go, but then after talking to my friends and discussing how fun it could be I decided what the heck. Me and my 6 man crew, 10 if you count the parents, planned our hike and then went
Soon my friends come to join me and we laughed and joked about how the day went and which teacher gave the most homework or what couple ended it and made a big scene in the hallway. My parents never told me to gossip but it was always fun to talk about the news around school. When the bus finally picks me up and drops me off, I still have a long walk back to my house in the heat of the
The next day I’m preparing to leave for my mom to pick me up. I realized this severe pain shooting down my spine, I steadily took ibuprofen and other over the counter medicines hoping it would slowly go away over time. It didn’t seem at the time that it was something unusual or out of the ordinary. Finally, my mom picked me up we went and grabbed something to eat, then headed on our 30 minute trip home. I sat in the middle of the
67-70). Dante had traveled through several levels of Hell and has been through several pouches of circles, and when he saw the souls frozen to the pond, he was so disturbed that he could not get the image out of his mind. As they were moving through the frozen pond, Dante said: “I quaked in the internal chill; and next- / I don’t know whether by will or fate or chance- / Walking among the heads I struck my foot / Hard in the face of one, with violence / That set him weeping…” (XXXII. 72-76). Dante has walked around Hell for a long time and he has never stepped on a head, but when he got to circle nine and saw the frozen souls in the pond and when he stepped on one, he knew that immense pain that they were enduring because he had a sense of pain in himself for simply stepping on someone’s head.
Finally,I said to myself,my parents and I were going to disneyland. It was a surprise when I heard my friend Ally was going on this trip with my parents and I. At 8:00 we went to go pick her up.A couple hours into the trip we hit traffic. It felt like we were never going to get their, with the breakfast break, lunch break, and the bathroom breaks. As I was looking out the window I saw a little dust storm that looked like mini tornado. Then my mom's key battery was low because she took the wrong one,she left the another key that had new batteries in it at the house. So we had to stop at the auto shop. For the rest of the trip me and Ally just binged watched movies on my computer. When we weren't watching moves me and my mom were arguing over the music radio.
"sure, we have Gym together first period right?" she can see madison 's smile falter "Yeah actually, we do. Jesus, who thought Gym class first thing in the morning was a good idea, i can barely walk for the first few hours of school..." she does a fake buckle with her knees as if shes suddenly unable to stand. both of them let out strained laughs, as Casey rakes a hand through her own messy hair. "alright then" Casey starts "We better go before your legs give out beneath you, you paraplegic drama queen" Madison sticks a tongue out in response, and tags alongside her best friend through the slightly less clogged hallways.
“Come on make your lay-up, Lewis!” Coach Marshall yells. Obviously not at me though, considering I am always sitting on the bench. He yells this at Alex Lewis, our starting point guard at Rockwood High School. Also, the same starting point guard that plays over me. In a split-second I am pulled out of my trance when I see two bodies collide on the floor almost like they were going down in slow motion.
When my name was called, butterflies instantly got into my stomach and i knew that it was my time. I went to the gym that day with no idea that I would be sparring in front of a large group of people. When i walked down into the gym i was instantly told to gear up and get ready because i was next up to spar. At that moment my head started to hurt, i felt weak, i was dizzy, and i felt like puking. And at this point it was my turn to spar and i got even worse, i felt like i was going to die but i didn’t let it show i got in the ring with confidence.
Everything happened so fast. I had only worked for SFC Joe Smith for a little over three months. The first incident had occurred when I was updating the computers prior to the opening of the facility to students. SFC Joe Smith had given me a warning that he only wanted me to update the computers at the end of the duty day. The problem with that was I did not know how long it would take to update the computers and I had to pick up my daughter before the daycare closed at 5:30 P.M.
In 2009, I had just completed my annual physical for the fire department and was unhealthy. The doctor said I was pre-diabetic, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Coincidently, my wife also received similar news from her doctor during that same time frame. A short time went by and I happened to be working with an old friend, Kevin, at the firehouse. I hadn 't seen Kevin for a few months so I was surprised to see that he had lost weight and was in great shape.
