My Best Friend's Unexpected: A Narrative Fiction

Unexpected Brad. There he was. I hadn’t seen him in over seven years. He was standing six-foot two,towering over everybody. He’s only been here one day, and already all the jocks were befriending him.(they had heard about his big game, throwing 220 yards that game.) And then there was me, the nobody. Well, I am a somebody, I’m the pretty, nerdy, shy girl with the glasses,well, to most people. It was the second day and I was standing in the hallway with Taylor, my best friend.
“ Who’s the new guy?” she asked,
“ His name is Brad. I knew him when we were younger but he’s completely changed.” I said.
“Well I’m pretty sure for the better, because that boy is H-O-T, hot.” He was pretty attractive, I couldn’t argue with that, but his attitude had had a total makeover. He

And Shawn will be there to give you some company!” I glared at her when she said this.
“I’m not sure, I’ll think about it.” And I was thinking about it, I wanted to go because I had never been invited to a party like this, or just never found an interest in it. But I had to go and “be” with Shawn so no one would catch on to me not wanting to be around them. It was the night of Brad’s big party, and I went over to Taylor’s house to get ready because according to her I had to try and actually look good. So we were up in her bedroom as she asked,”Do you think I could do it tonight?” I looked over at her, “What are you talking about?”
“ Like hookup, do you think I can get there tonight with Brad, we’ve been close to going all the way he just, always backs out.”
“ Umm, I’m not sure but you’re Taylor. You can convince people to do anything.”

We left for his party and I was nervous that something bad would happen. We arrived at around seven, and there to meet us was Shawn and Brad. Shawn hugged me and said hi to Taylor. Brad gave Taylor a quick kiss and waved to me.
