In the Bible, Paul gives us a beautiful verse that many Christian base their lifestyles off of. 1 Corinthians 6:19 says, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” We take care of our bodies out of respect to God and the blessing of life that he has given to each and every one of us. By doing this we take care of our bodies by different types of exercise, and by what we eat and what we allow our bodies to take in. This semester we learned that homeostasis is the relatively complete and stable state of health in the body. Homeostasis has to do with the balance of different organ systems and how they evenly work together. I think even more so, homeostasis can be taken a step further to your mental and spiritual strength. …show more content…

I know in five years I might not have it all figure out, but I hope I can be getting closer to where I need to be. Another important thing for my emotional health will be traveling. I love exploring and going to new places, and I think that will definitely be something that continues to calm me down and help my mental health. By fifteen years I hope that I can have a good and sturdy mind. I hope that I do not get distracted easily at my work. I know that by the time I am in my thirties, I want to have started a family. I want to be emotionally stable for my family. I want my kids to be able to come to me with any type of situation, and I want to be able to handle it. When I think of my mental health, I just cross my fingers that I would not start losing my mind by the time I am forty-four. I know that if you are physically fit, your brain also will stay sharp. To stay emotionally and mentally sharp includes organizing your stresses. As I get older, and take on more responsibilities, my goal is to be able to handle the tasks I put on. My goal is to also be reading a lot to continue to learn and culture
