“If you educate a boy then you educate a man. But if you educate a woman, then you educate a family.” This is one of the most common sayings which started in order to enhance and provide the basic education to women in general. This was greatly regarded and practiced all over. Even now, these lines are slowly opening up many closed societies. This was only one side of the coin and the other side was the same but had different motives which will be discussed further ahead in this essay. The trip to the Nizamuddin colony and Dargah and its surroundings gave me many prominent but subtle queries of my own position and role as a woman in the society that I am preparing to be a part of. There have been big discussions, and disputes with the concern of the position a woman can hold in the society. Oddly, this has never been recorded and debated for the other half. There have been big contrasts between the roles required to be done or from opting to do the same. Since a long time, there have been many clashes of ideologies and a struggle of power and dominance. This was limited to the grazing land, and on the hunger of power, greed, and envy. In all these societies, there was and is a crucial role of the females whose presence was strongly felt but disregarded as a choice. Women are not the big part of the society. They are the society. In fact, they are the ones who make the society. The same is for the men. They are not a part but the society itself. So, why are there so many
