Similarities Between Mccandless And Nelson Mandela

When you think of two strong leaders you may think of Chris McCandless and Nelson
Mandela. They have both made amazing accomplishments throughout their lives. “ The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising everytime we fall,” Mandella said. They share many similarities and differences with the way that they lived their lives. “If we admit that human life can be ruled by reason, then all possibility of life is destroyed,” McCandless said.
Both wanted to make a change in their lives. Mandela wanted to fight racism while McCandless didn’t want to live a normal life.

They are both very strong willed and passionate, and tried breaking from society.

McCandless were not alone, they had many supporters and people with similar interests. One major thing they had in common was their freedom and individual right. They both died as legends. Johnston2
Although they had many similarities they also had differences on how they did things.
McCandless was more conservative on how he did things, he liked to keep a low profile but also get his point across. They definitely had different ways of expressing their freedom and individual rights. Mandela went to extremes and had campaigns that led to life in prison, which affected many people. Mandela’s main goal was to unify America and stop segregation, and as you can see Mandela went straight to the public, and McCandless was very reserved, and society thought of him as stupid. I do not think people would understand McCandless’s way of doing things, but I think they would understand Mandelas methods.
Mandela wanted to fight racism while McCandless didn’t want to live a normal life.
They both went out of their way to accomplish their goal, and Mandela did so.
