The Last Asylum, as Barbara Taylor notes in the prologue of the book, is a book that is not meant to be your average misery memoir (Taylor XV). Instead, she makes the claim where the book is more of a a combination of both a history and personal story, and with the “yes and no” answer immediately insinuating it is not your typical sad story. But as her account continues, I notices there were other goals Taylor attempts to achieve. Some of these goals include the following: to show how she changes over her experience in the asylum, to provide a brief history of the asylum system in the United Kingdom and her impressions of it, and also to express her personal state of mind throughout the novel, which include her relationship with the psychoanalyst
Ha is an example of the universal refugee experience because she goes through things that many other refugees go through, such as the feeling of being “inside out” and not belonging anywhere. Ha has to learn a new language and a whole new way of life, she has to give up many of her old traditions and ways of life like many refugees do. A universal refugee experience is something that is experienced by not all, but most refugees. As I have presented above in previous paragraph, it is very clear to see that social justice organises people against harm and demonstrates them the meaning of harm. For example race discrimination, poverty and people inequality it is definition of social harm, and for example it also shows that it does not just emotionally impact an individual unit but the whole society, this is because of economic growth. And so social harm is deeply tangled with social justice, it shows how discrimination is widespread in the world. There is a rising acceptance to include race, gender and so on. In the growing measurements of social difference, people do understand inequality.
First of all, I would like to introduce what social justice means to me. Social justice doesn’t mean just equality, but justice or equity. Nobody is the same and some people need more help than others. For example, there is one person who is left handed and one right handed. There should be notebooks with the spiral on the left and some on the right, so they both can have an opportunity.
These are all things that people in refugee camps around the world could only dream of. Unfortunately we cannot help all of the refugees in the world, but if we can help just a few it will make a difference. We can help out by providing funds to organisations like the UN and also by raising awareness for the refugees. We can also educate our children about the conditions that the refugees have to live in and how they can raise awareness and support for the cause. These are all viable ways to raise awareness for the refugees, but that does not guarantee that they will be helped.

Therefore, the only solution is moving on to end the bloodbaths and poverty lakes while simultaneously accepting the humanitarian responsibility of taking in the refugees. Migration is a global issue.
