The Aztec Empire was established around the year 1430 and lasted through 1521. The most important elements of this culture were the agriculture, religion (polytheistic), floating islets, stabilized by stakes, lakes and muddy lands of the region (where they cultivated maize, vegetables and flowers), metallurgy, weaving, craftsmanship and a very developed architecture. Saint paper: Our lady of Guadalupe The Virgin of Guadalupe is the patron saint of Mexico. On December 9, 1531, the Lady of Guadalupe appeared to an Aztec Indian whom had just converted to the Catholic Faith, his name is Juan Diego. Mary asked Juan Diego to tell the Bishop to build a church in the location she needed it to be built. Juan Diego carried the news to the Bishop, but the Bishop wanted proof that the message he was brought was directly from the Lady of Guadalupe herself. Juan Diego went back and told her what the Bishop had asked for.

Inca Empire Political: Most powerful figure in the Inca Empire was the Sapa Inca. For one to ascend to the lever of Inca, one must be descended from the original Inca tribe.
While comparing the Aztec and Renaissance worldviews they both have similar yet different opinions. The Aztec culture was very isolated and unaware of other cultures causing them to be placed on the self determination side of the view of human nature continuum. Due to them being so isolated they had to make their own decisions with the help of their Aztec Gods. The culture had many different gods which made them have their own view on life which was different comparing it to other cultures around them.
The Aztec people dominated the 14th through 16th century Mesoamerica. They are one of the most noted cultures recognized in history books today and they deserve as much recognition for their accomplishments and errors as much as any other civilization because their works were much the same. Their religious practices were similar to that of the ancient civilizations throughout the entire world. The magnificent capital, Tenochtitlan, displays accomplishments other cities had achieved thousands of years before the Aztecs marched through what is now Mexico. Even the fall of their empire was like that of the far away Celtic civilization and countless others.
The Inca and the Aztecs are two famous civilizations. These civilizations rose to power in the early 1300s and 1400s. The Inca and the Aztec are very similar in culture, but they are also very different by their geography and physical manpower. These peoples are very much known for their colorful culture and their dramatic end. People always want to hear about their interesting gods and their colorful culture.
The conflict and defeat of the Aztecs was not avoidable because the Spanish were looking for gold and land, and would have eventually come into contact with the Aztecs no matter who found the land of Tenochtitlan first. Since the Aztecs had everything the Spaniards wanted, it was likely that a battle between the two was bound to happen. In war the Spanish had a large advantage because of their weapons and battle gear. If the Aztecs came into contact with the Spanish, they were likely to die because of the disease the Spaniards carried with them. Also, a lot of enemies were created against the Aztecs because of the human sacrifices they had to make in order to nourish their gods.
In the 16th Century, Spain became one of the European forces to reckon with. To expand even further globally, Spanish conquistadors were sent abroad to discover lands, riches, and North America and its civilizations. When the Spanish and Native American groups met one another, they judged each other, as they were both unfamiliar with the people that stood before them. The Native American and Spanish views and opinions of one another are more similar than different because when meeting and getting to know each other, neither the Spaniards nor the Native Americans saw the other group of people as human. Both groups of people thought of one another as barbaric monsters and were confused and amazed by each other’s cultures.
Along with Brazil, Mexico has demonstrated a similar phenomenon, amongst the Nahuatl-speaking locals. It is another Virgin Mary figure which was discovered on a sacred Aztec site. The statue is commonly referred to as Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (Our Lady of Guadalupe, pictured below), however the indigenous people call her Tonantzin, after an indigenous goddess of the earth. Asides from religious figurines, there are many buildings in Latin America which are known to be influenced by the colonisation which are religious sites, most often churches. The increase in the number of churches in Latin America is another sign that religion took a large part in changing Latin American society and lifestyle.
Everything was perfectly planned out. As the calendar says, they have to sacrifice one of their own to please the Gods. The Mayan people would get together as a whole to practice their religious ceremony at the temple. The Mayan and Aztec civilizations are two ancient civilizations that were located near Central and South America. The Mayan civilization was more remarkable than the Aztecs because of their advanced knowledge.
The Aztecs government was an government that expected tributes as pay for being a Aztec. The Aztec empire’s power was split between many figures of control. The Aztec empire was split into city-states called Altepetl and controlled by Tlatoanis/supreme leaders and Cihuacoatl/supreme judges. Though having an organized government, the Aztecs were sadly conquered by the Spanish Conquistadors lead by Cortes between the years 1519-1521. The ratio of the army of the Spanish Conquistadors and the Aztecs greatly differed in the Aztecs favor.
The Tlaxcalans had the same religion as the Aztecs. Their religion was the driving force of their culture. Their religion was Polytheistic, meaning they believed in many gods. The Tlaxcalans and the Aztecs have some things in common, they have the same religion, the same War God (Huitzilopochtli) and both are very religious. They believed in thousands of Gods, believed that the sun and Moon were gods, and also they believed in Human Sacrifice.
Human history came about differently all over the world for the last 13,000 years because of simply of the environment in which each continent is located. Many people believe it is because of biological differences among the people around the world, but now we know that isn’t correct. The environment of each continent means different forms of language, diseases, political, religions, ect. They also have different species of animals and plants that one continent may not have come across. To get deeper into the subject, an example of how the environment created the differences is how the Inca and Aztec empires were overthrown by the 2 spanish explorers named CorteŽ and Pizarro and there crew of a couple hundred.
In every civilization that has graced our planet at some point, each has wondered about how the world, and its people were created. Depending on the location of the civilization, and the influences from other civilizations, each early civilization has created some form of tale to explain how the world and it people were created. For this essay, I would like to review, and compare the Aztec’s creation story, and the Japan’s creation story.
The question this paper strives to answer is: “To what extent do the mythologies of the Aztecs and the Norse display similarities and differences?” Mythologies around the world are based heavily upon the environment in which the practicing group lives, and their history. However, it has become apparent that some mythologies display many similar elements, prompting the discussion into the similarities and differences between the mythologies of two separate cultures. These two cultures are the Aztecs and the Norse. The Aztecs were a society who live in Mesoamerica, specifically the Valley of Mexico.
