Stephen Crane an Amazing Writer

Stephen Crane is a writer who wrote many things. One of his popular and most famous stories was, “Maggie, a Girl on the Streets”. He made other short stories too. Stephen Crane is a well known author. He is also a very good writer who wrote short stories, poems, and letters. People read them now and were read then.

Stephen Crane was born in New Jersey on November 1, 1879. He was the fourteenth and last child of Mary Helen Peck Crane and Reverend Jonathan Townley Crane who were his parents. His first novel was “Maggie: A Girl on the Street”. “It wasn't until after moving to New York that he rewrote and finalized the piece—its pages fortified with details that he picked up in the Bowery(Moore).” He undertook a new career: war correspondent. “In 1895, Crane published what would become his most famous novel, The Red Badge of Courage.”(Moore)

He taught others how and what to do very well. He is a very humble person. He is very organized and controlling person. He is very peaceful and patient person that will listen to what you say. He also has trouble dealing with his emotions when he is upset.

When he took a boat to Cuba. His boat to Cuba sank, but he was drifting around for a long time with a few others. Crane is thought to be the first American naturalist writer, which, is a writer that draws on scientific ideas and applies them to fictional stories. Crane is on the cover of the Beatles’ Signature Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Sadly he died when he was twenty- eight.
