Self Awareness The turning point in my life which led me to seek my MSW, the role I was currently in did not fulfill my heart desire. I have had a desire to help people my entire life. Working in various roles in health care that allowed me to take care of individuals whom were elderly, sick, and now working with children who have a mental illness or behavioral issues has allowed me to fulfill part of this desire. Desiring to be an advocate for individuals such as the elderly, and those individuals whom are mentally ill has made me realize that what I am doing is not enough to support these individuals.
