He has then been in many competitions and received numerous awards for his incredible performances. Regarded as a child prodigy, Ingmar Lazar has had very advanced skills since a young age that many people are envious of.
In Malcolm Gladwell’s book Outliers, he uses argument as his tool to educate readers about the path to success. An argument consists of a claim, coherent and persuasive discourse, and a conclusion; Gladwell’s novel conforms to this description precisely. The author first makes his claim that successful people are not successful because of work ethic or intelligence alone, but that they are a culmination of many specific traits and rare opportunities. Outliers then holds the debate in its 9 chapters. Chapters back his claim in many ways.
Malcolm Gladwell in chapter nine of Outliers argues that to become an outlier, one has to be given a chance and he/she has to be willing to put effort to seize it. Gladwell uses Marita, who went to KIPP Academy, as an example. Marita wakes up at “five-forty-five a.m.” to prepare for school, and “leaves school at five p.m.” (pg.264). That’s almost a half day spent at school, which leaves little time for Marita’s responsibilities. However, KIPP promised that it will give her “a chance to get out” (pg.267) of poverty, and nonetheless Marita studied day to night in hopes of a much better future.

Success can be interpreted into having happiness, having knowledge, and being financially stabled. Most people describe it as being patient and having a positive mindset. Malcolm Gladwell, author of Outliers, demonstrated how without the knowledge of other cultures, there are many things that people won’t consider questioning or realizing about it. He also showed how people need to adapt to a new culture in order to achieve success since it affects how society deals with culturism today.
“No one who can rise before dawn three hundred sixty days year fails to make his family rich”(Gladwell 249). In Outliers: The Story of Success, Malcolm Gladwell shows that many factors come into play when looking at successful people. He shows that a series of luck, work ethic, and persistence can lead to success. When looking at people like Bill Gates and Bill Joy, Gladwell shows how these factors came into play in their early lives and allowed them to build their opportunity to become successful. Gates and Joy worked hard at what they were passionate about and ended up creating two major technological companies.
Through a Different Lens Success plays a huge role in an individual's life that makes up what they came to be. In Outliers: The Story of Success, author Malcolm Gladwell thoroughly defines success in a multitude of various approaches through contrasting lives. He distincts success as what the individual had previously in their lives that granted them the opportunity to lengthen their vigor and aspire toward growth. Gladwell wants to determine how success creates the individual outside of their person. Success has an entirely alternative definition that indulges more on the roots within the crossroads of opportunity, meaningful work and accumulative advantage.why do these relate to success?
In "Outliers: The story of success", Malcom Gladwell explained and gave examples of ways to be successful. There are many ways that Gladwell mentioned, such as luck, practice, background, family, and culture. There are many more of course, but I will save time. There are three of which I think are the most important, these being Intelligence, Social Skills, and Location; and these are explanations as to why I think these are the most important.
Intrinsic factors critically considered when people think about the main components of success. However, Malcolm Gladwell, a famous writer, contradicts this tendency through the book, Outliers. The book, Outliers insists that extrinsic factors define success rather than the intrinsic ones. Nonetheless, Gladwell himself goes against the topic of Outliers in his assertion: “if you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires (Gladwell, 2008).” The assertion implies that individuals could achieve success only with those intrinsic factors.
“What’s your favorite time of year?” “Summer!” This is a common question asked by an adult, and a typical reply from a child. Of course summer is their favorite time of the year because they have summer break! 10-12 weekes full of sun and fun!
Gladwell’s Argument in Outliers Success is a concept that is constantly altered and has a different meaning from person to person. The stereotypical definition of success would be someone who has a high-paying job or is in the upper-class. Malcolm Gladwell, the author of Outliers: The Story of Success, approaches the concept of success in a different and unique way. Gladwell discusses how opportunities, cultural legacy, and hard work all coincide with each other to produce real success. He uses mostly logic and multiple unrelated anecdotes to support and provide evidence for his statements.
In his article, “Thresholds of violence” by Malcolm Gladwell, has effectively proven that the school shootings changed and they’ve became ritualized. From an incident, a group of three officers had arrived to the unit’s door step, and a young man stood in the center. Outliers, written by Malcolm Gladwell, is an informational book regarding the intricacies of success and how it comes to fruition in individuals. Outliers has served to teach students the means of being successful and the importance of seizing opportunities as they come. Personally, Outliers has changed my views of success in numerous ways. Before reading said book, I had always assumed people who were naturally talented or had specific privileges were the only ones who could get far. However, Gladwell’s writing has informed me that anyone, if they are prepared to work hard, can reach their goals.
