The most overrated superhero is Superman. Superman is a character in the comics that never had to really work to get to where he is at. He basically had everything handed to him. In the comics, he’s around other characters like batman who not only had something traumatic happen to him in the past, he also worked hard to get to where he is at. On the other hand, Superman is just a character that decided that he wanted to be a superhero and just had the abilities to do it. In the earliest comics, he never had a reason to become the person he is. They just say that is the type of person he is.
One reason that he is overrated is that he is a character that never gets any development. In a moment that calls for it, Superman just becomes stronger to match who ever he is fighting. He’s a character that you never get a feeling of tension from watching or reading because you know that no matter what, he either somehow going to survive, or he is somehow going to come out on top. He is literally a character that can do anything.

The creators themselves have recognized that the character has no struggles and that it generally gets boring watching him or reading about him. They try to make him struggle and make people more interested in him, but they still end up in the previous trend. That is why no matter what, Superman is the most overrated
