It became hard for Anne, she was put into a segregated Jewish school, her father even had to give up his title in his business. On June 12, 1942 Anne got a diary for her birthday, this will later be the reason we know Anne Frank’s story. On July 5, 1942 Anne’s family were forced into hiding; it was no longer safe for their family to live in the outside world. She wrote in her diary “ The world will keep turning without me, and I can’t do anything to change events anyway.” The family spent two years in hiding, it wasn't till August 4, 1944 that the family was found by the police, they arrested everyone in hiding.

Her story is very interesting for many of us because it tells a lot about her and her family surviving in the Secret Annex before it had happened. I am going to talk about what disturbs me about Anne Franks story and the holocaust and what good came from Annes story join me if you want to on my journey. What is disturbing is that the Franks had to go into hiding and just a couple days before jews were disappearing and that the Franks protectors Miep and Mr.Kraler could face the same punishment for hiding them as if they were also jews. The Holocaust was truly scary for several people, but especially those of Jewish origin. The Holocaust managed to kill twelve million people, six million of which were Jewish. The Frank’s couldn 't get out of the due to the Nazi occupation, so they did the next best thing, which was to hide. Otto Frank was the one who helped arrange it, due to his ties with some people in his company. Otto Frank is an example of survival because he was a natural leader, selfless and caring.
Other Victims of the Holocaust When many people think of the Holocaust, they think of the six million Jewish victims and how they were the target of the Nazis. What people don 't realize is that there were many more victims, such as the Gypsies, Soviet POWs, and people with disabilities and mental handicaps. Knowing about these other groups will enhance your understanding of the horrors of the Holocaust. Out of all the groups the Nazis targeted, only the Gypsies and Jews were supposed to be entirely exterminated. The Gypsies were natural scapegoats since they were outsiders, originally from Turkey.

Through her diary writing, Anne Frank was in many ways her own counsellor in a time of great suffering and tribulation. She realized that writing down her thoughts and feelings could help her cope with the anxiety of the war and Nazi persecution.

When the Nazis invaded Amsterdam, Anne’s father took help from some local friends to hide in a complex of his office. The office is known commonly as the “Secret Annex.” Days were spent here in worry, but everyone kept each other alive with love and support. Anne wrote in her diary, which kept her motivated to live. For two years, her and 7 others hid in solitary.
