As the world evolves, modern technologies also develop rapidly. One of the best technologies that are commonly used today is the Home Voice Command Devices. These are home appliances which operate and respond when it hears human voices. As a matter of fact, there are already different types of Home Voice Command Devices that are arising these days which gives people numerous advantages. However, such devices also give them several disadvantages especially for elderly, children and persons with disabilities. Thus, modern technologies do not only provide people comfortability but also the feeling of worriedness especially for their safety.
Homey, Switalk and Vocca Light are some examples of Home Voice Command Devices. Homey was introduced and created by Emile Nijssen. According to him, he created the smart orb (homey) to be compatible with almost any wirelessly controlled household appliances and devices by using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and different infrared communication standards. On the other hand, SwiTalk is another device which will allow fans and lights to turn on and off using their very own voice. Switalk was designed for people with disabilities and dexterity disorder. A technical problem is the most common one. This includes, short circuited wirings, disability of the device to determine voices, and malfunctioning of the appliances due to improper installation of the device.
