What are hero? Hero's are people that take risks. They make a difference in the world. People become a hero by helping people out. To become a hero you can save life. People become hero by being brave, unusual, and important.

What is a hero ? A hero is someone who cares for other people. For example, In the book The Outsiders there are three really young brave kids. Their names are Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally. These three kids were heroes because they risked their lives for kids in a burning church. They are brave, strong, courageous and put others before themselves.

Everybody has their own opinion of what a hero is. A hero is someone who does what they believe is right, no matter what anybody has to say. They stand their ground and don’t fall into negativity. A hero is someone who is selfless and inspires us to be a better version of our own selves. One of the best examples of a hero is Atticus Finch, a lawyer and father in the 1930s in the book To Kill A Mockingbird. Many may believe a different character in the novel is worthy enough of being called a leader but since the beginning of the book Atticus has greatly demonstrated the strong and bold qualities of a hero.

A hero is anyone who makes the right decision to sacrifice for a person in need. For example, without heroes like firemen, wildfires and house fires would spread across the nation, costing lives and loss of worldly possessions. Firemen stand strong, risk themselves, and protect all for the well-being, safety of others, and personal property. In addition,

Many people have a definition of the word hero. Some people’s definition of the word might be someone who stands up for what’s right and what is wrong. But this is my definition of the word hero. My definition of hero is someone who puts their life on the line, and doesn’t think of the rewards he will get. Also, someone who knows what the right thing to do in a difficult situation is. Joseph Campbell once said, “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” Being a hero doesn’t mean being “super”, it means having the courage to run towards danger when everybody else is running away from it. Heroism is the courage, the bravery to risk his/her life in order to save somebody else’s.

American actor Christopher Reeve once quoted, "A hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles" (Brainy Quote). Not only did he play a hero as Superman, he truly became one in his personal life. After becoming a quadriplegic Reeve became a spokesperson for people with spinal cord injuries. A hero is a person one admires because of the qualities and selfless actions they exemplify to overcome adversity and inspire others. Heroism is apparent in literature, history, and in our own life. A hero is a person who overcomes their fears to fight for what is right. A person who fights for change. Heroes are everywhere. Heroes can be anyone. Every hero is a unique person with feelings and families. An example of a hero is Minerva Mirabal, who fights in the Dominican Republic for change. She fights the dictator Trujillo and the rest of the regime with her life. In Julia Alvarez’s historical novel In the Time of the Butterflies, Minerva is characterized as both an individual and a martyr.

Heros are known for their outstanding achievements and bravery. Ronald P. Bucca is a hero because he was brave, loyal, and courageous and is willing to sacrifice.

The Websters dictionary defines a hero as someone who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Heroes are ordinary people who find the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. They are the real heroes, and so are the families and friends who have stood by them. Maya Angelou stated, “I think a hero is any person really intent on making this world a better place for all people.”

Who is your hero? It may be your dad or, perhaps another family member, one that you have known your whole life as a hero. Maybe it is a fictional character. A person that you don't know or have never seen, but still you think of them as a hero. No matter who someone's hero is one thing stays the same. A hero is someone that has strived to help out of their own will.

There are various approaches to describing a hero. There is also an infinite number of individuals who can be defined as heroes. A hero can be a person who demonstrates valor. A hero can be a champion. A hero can even save a life or even mankind. In William Shakespeare 's play Hamlet, the most heroic and brave character is young Hamlet. Despite the fact Hamlet is stranded amidst a court filled with dishonesty and misconduct and is confronted by the death of his father and his mom 's relatively quick marriage to his father 's brother, he is viewed as daring and bold in the minds of readers. For, it is his courageousness, fearlessness, determination and bravery that proves that Hamlet is not only a strong willed individual but also the most heroic character in the play.

The dictionary definition of hero is a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. In ancient Greece, a hero was "a man or woman, often of divine ancestry, who is endowed with great courage and strength, celebrated for his or her bold exploits, and favored by the gods" (Greek Mythology). Odysseus has all of these qualities. Odysseus is a hero because he is trusted and favored by the gods, has achieved many outstanding deeds, and overcomes many obstacles to reach his goal.
