The topic continues to complicate itself with the point Tiffany Hsu made. She states how employers require a college degree. Most employers will ignore applicant without a college diploma. I agree with Hsu perspective that job searching will be made more difficult without a college education. Do I think college is right for everyone?
1 Many kids graduate school wondering what college they want to go to and if they want to spend so much money on it. Though some people think that college isn’t worth it I’d like to respectfully disagree. I think that college is worth it. The evidence I have behind my reasoning is that people with a diploma that are not going to college won’t be able to experience amazing social gatherings than people with a degree, and people with a diploma make less money than people with a degree. 2 First, people with a diploma that are not going to college won’t be able to experience amazing social gatherings than people with a college degree.
“An important pathway to the middle class now runs through higher education, but rising costs are making it harder and harder for ordinary Americans to get the education they want and need” ( Sanders). Many student who’s families can not easily afford the cost of college often do not further their education after high school. Students that know that their family struggles with money already don’t want to ask for more so that they can go to college. As the cost of college has been on the rise many have talked about wanting to provide students with a free college education. Many bring up that the states grant their students with free public education till they complete the twelfth grade.
“42% of college students in the United States fail to complete their degrees. Of those 42%, 15-25% will drop-out, and the remaining 17-27% will leave college, for reasons that are less clear.” There is obviously something wrong with our education system as a whole for so many students to drop out of college. Yet, individuals believe that college tuition should be free, and paid for by the government with taxpayer money. Secondary school should not be free because it should not replace the education that should be taught in high school, it will make individuals pay more taxes in order to pay for college tuition and it will motivate student to do good in school. Initially , secondary education should not be free because students will lose
Some students think that a four-year college degree is worth the expensive cost of tuition, but others feel it is not. Earning a bachelor’s degree is a great accomplishment, but going to a community college and beginning work sooner could be better financially in the long run. If a student graduates from high school but doesn’t go to college, they can start working at places
Is college worth it for student getting out of high school? I think that college isn’t worth for students out of high school, because of the cost of college, there are other options instead of college, and the employment rate of college students. I will also provide the opposite side of the cost of college, there are other options instead of college, and the employment rate of college students. In the next paragraphs I will tell you why I think college isn’t worth it to a high school student anymore. The first thing that I want to bring up is the amount of money needed to go to college.
paying college student’s tuitions there is no way the U.S will benefit. If college becomes free then students won’t have the require motivation to do good in school since their money isn’t at play. This for many creates a problem since if many people don’t try in college its becoming a waste of money that the U.S has to pay for. Not to mention just because they say its free it doesn’t mean it actually is. The money has to come from some place and where other than taxes.
As the school year comes to a close and the only thing on a senior’s mind is how are they going to pay for college? Throughout our high school careers we always get asked what our plans are after high school and never how are you going to pay for that next step of your life after high school. We barely get prepared for the real world in high school we are forced to take classes the school thinks will be good for us not what we think or what will be best for what we want to study for in college. How are high schoolers supposed to be able to pay for college when they don’t get prepared enough in high school to go on to that next level of schooling and have to more than likely go into debt just to be able to pay for it. Colleges should no longer cost an insane amount of money to go there.
Money keeps getting higher and higher every year and a lot of students can’t afford it. A lot of people spend different amounts of money for different types of education for what they want to do when they get done with college. College students shouldn’t go to college because they would not need the classes, the costs keep getting higher and they can’t afford it, and a lower education in general. Some students think it is worth the money for a better education because they take classes they need. First, If the goal is to earn a living, then, maybe it isn’t really true that 18-year-olds need to be imparted with a sense of panic about getting into college (though they
Many of the world’s richest and most successful people didn’t even graduate from high school let alone make it to college. Now I’m not implying that I don’t want to attend college because that is not true, I would most certainly love to go to college but not everybody is blessed with the same opportunities.
pensive college with no boarding may not be worth it for those seeking a typical american college experience. Not all but community colleges are not worth the price. I notice that Universities that are well known are very expensive. In my opinion just because the school is well known they shouldn 't raise up the prices unless they are using better tools. In the article “Are Colleges Worth the Price of Admission’’?
If it was free, people wouldn’t worry about paying, students would work harder to get accepted into big schools, and it would give people in a lower class have more opportunities. The first reason college should be free is, that people won’t worry about paying when they’re not given a scholarship. There are several people who don’t even go to college and end up starting up their own businesses because they know what they’d go through and they couldn’t pay. They
