If the standard of living in a certain place's economic growth increases, people who earn a lower income would face big challenges to pay for their expenses and they might feel that they have no other choice besides to commit crime, or to live in poverty. Surprisingly, many people choose to commit crime to increase their own standard of living, rather than living in poverty. This obviously increases the crime rate and therefore, a sudden increase in the price levels in an economy may have a negative effect. This explains how not all economic growth is good.

People would start to rob because many people don’t get enough income to have a good life. I think people also commit crime because they think that they should just earn money in a quicker way, rather than actually working for a whole year. Because people believe that they would earn more money than if they actually worked for one whole year.
When economic growth increases, labour force would also increase and that can affect crime. This is because people who work at other places would get tempted to steal something they don’t have or they can’t afford to buy. For example, Pakistan has one of the largest labour force, because of it’s really huge population. Pakistan’s labour force has a total of 57.2 million, which is a really huge amount if you would compare it to other countries.
This graph explains that there are so many poor people in Pakistan. In addition this would state that there are many people that would be working in different places to earn money because there are so many people who don’t earn an income in Pakistan. So if the people don’t earn enough income, they might choose to commit crime to live a better
