Have you ever experienced or ever wondered what it’s like being alone and stranded by yourself for 54 days? I surely haven’t experienced it, but someone has. His name is Brian. He is a character from the book, Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen. This book is about Brian and how he ends up stranded in the Canadian Wilderness after a plane crash occurs, and all he has is a hatchet his mother gave to him. I bet you’re wondering how he could possibly survive for that long. Fortunately, Brian was able to use a few “aha” moments that changed things for him and seemed pretty helpful in some scenarios. Though Brian was forced into this survival situation, it wasn’t as difficult as he thought it would be. However, there were still some challenges in his survival
