For various reason such as fluctuations in petroleum products, the economy status, a considerable variation in transit demand as well. Whatever the challenges that agencies of transit system are facing going to make all theses hike by maintaining a transit as competitive edge than private mode of transport with more reliable service. Methodology for scheduling an improvement in an existing as well as new routes of transit must be able to acknowledge to the dynamic character of urban traffic due to evolution through ITS and more discursive traffic management scenario. This study emphasise on reduction in user cost such as Vehicle operating cost, Cost of travel time., Traffic congestion and restraint etc. This is achieved by shifting a future personalised vehicle trips into bus transit. Due to promotion of bus transit system at central part of cities ( Durg and Bhilai), there is a considerable reduction in congestion, pollution, user cost etc. This study also helps in developing a new route for bus transit between Durg and Bhilai over a different traffic conditions, with ITS technologies such as bus priority system, APTMS, AFMS etc. This research work concluded with how the impact of selected route and bus transit mode is beneficial in various aspects such economic, social and …show more content…
As the growth of urbanization is taking place and travel demand with post-economic growth correspondingly, the vehicle ownership is increasing day by day causing dilemma like pollution, delay, congestion at intersections and road stream. With accord to census 2011, increase in million plus cities ranging from 35 in 2001 to 55, 39% population in urban areas. ( Census of India 2011).As urbanization in cities is putting excessive pressure and responsibility on transportation infrastructures to face a rise in travel demand with better strength and efficiency of public transportation. Post-economic revises, cities in India are perceiving the need of sustainable infrastructure with economic growth, better living resulting in increased demand. Growth of private vehicle ownership such as two-wheeler, car and Para-transit system confess lack of urban transport infrastructure. The land use scenario in cities and vehicle ownership increases trip distance and motivating to shift towards private
The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater is compelling nonfiction following a real story about two teenagers who faced the consequences of a life-altering crime. In 2013, an assault, considerably a hate crime, took place on a city bus in Oakland, California involving an agender teen, Sasha, and a black teenager, Richard. With ample detail, Slater describes the lifestyles of both characters, such as how Richard didn’t grow up in the best environment but was still a good person. Sasha, on the other hand, was constantly surrounded by supportive people; they were named Luke at birth, but decided it didn't apply to them correctly and identified as agender. While riding home on the bus, Sasha falls asleep and Richard, not intending the harm that occurred, lit

Intro The 57 Bus takes place in Oakland, California where a black teenager named Richard burned an innocent teen because his friends thought it would be a funny joke to pull on someone they didn't even know. The victim was Sasha Fleischman who was agender (gender nonconforming). Richard and Sasha's lives are changed for forever . My inquiry question is can someone's sexual orientation be considered a hate crime in court?
There are many restrictions in society that bind us to certain categories. Whether it be male vs female, rich vs poor, good vs bad, or child vs adult, these categories determine who we are. The 57 Bus is a book about breaking free from these restrictions. Sasha, a white teen living in the better parts of Oakland, is trying to figure out their gender and who they are in the world. Richard, a black teen living in the parts of Oakland more ridden by violence, has completely different circumstances, trying to figure out the spectrum of good and bad and where he belongs on it.
I was in a car with my family driving on the freeway in Houston, and as I look out the car window I noticed that vegetation was growing on part of the freeway that was under construction. The freeway has been under construction for as long as I can remember and nature knew this because it set its roots here in order to survive. As I was looking out the window I started to think will they ever be done with this freeway. Many people think that America is the symbol of freedom and anyone can be who they want without being forced to do something they do not want.
My artwork is of the Transcontinental railroad. In approximately the middle of the train tracks, there is a sign that says Promontory Utah. This represents the connection of the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads to form the transcontinental railroad. Also on the sign, there is an arrow that points to the left with the words Sacramento, California and an arrow pointing to the right with the words Omaha, Nebraska. These arrows represent the starting point of the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads.
In Hannah Greendale’s review about The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater, she argues about how the transgender community or those who identify as agender are being mistreated. She writes her review base off of a sociological lens. One of the main characters struggles with there sexuality while the other one is presented differently due to his race. Sasha is the name of one of the characters, and she identifies as neither male nor female. Sasha was born as a male named Luke, but as she grew up, she realized that she enjoyed wearing skirts instead of clothing that boys would typically wear.
Cars are transforming the lives of millions. You do not have to live near work. Cities explode outworks, creating giant suburbs. New highways were built and shopping malls with giant car parks. Over the hills a real-estate syndicate buys 500 acres.
The US went through revolutionary advancements in transportation from 1800 to 1840. The transportation improvements had substantial effects on the economy and also individual development. People could now buy goods that were made in places faraway because access was easier to towns and cities and people’s experiences grew as they were able to be more mobile (309). The roads were inadequate in 1800, so the federal government funded the National Road in 1808 to establish its dedication to improve the roads in the nation and so then by 1839 the East and West would be tied together (309). Commerce was still inadequate even with the National Road funded which improved transportation.
The poem Beneath the Shadow of the Freeway written by Lorna Dee Cervantes, and the movie Hidden Figures originally a book written by Margot Lee Shetterly both convey the theme of empowerment to hard-working, strong women who can be just as smart and diligent as a man without the actual help of one. Both Dee Cervantes’ poem and Shetterly’s movie/book voice the importance of being strong willed as a women and making a life for yourself regardless your situation. Two concepts I found in these pieces of literature that I would like to obtain personally is the topic: focus on what you can control, not what you can’t, and cultivate a strong support group to achieve your success. Focus on what you can control, not what you can’t. In the movie Hidden

INTRO Thesis: The Boston Busing Crisis was not a spontaneous event that created new tension around race throughout the city—it occurred in the context of very high levels of intolerance and inequality. In June 1974, Judge W. Arthur Garrity ruled in Morgan vs. Hennigan that Boston’s public school system had been purposefully segregated based on race and that these separate schools were not equal and therefore unconstitutional. Nowadays, a lot of people have their own cars and one family might have more than two cars even. People find it impossible to live without cars but they don’t know how negatively it affects their life and even the environment around them that will affect their future later. No one can regret how cars are really important and useful in life but no one knows how it can make their life gloomy. The government should definitely start taking a step and stopping cars in big cities. Cars should absolutely be banned from big cities for pollution, traffic and accident problems.
TRANSPORTATION Transportation means moving goods or people from one place to another place. With the increase of the population, transportation came in to consideration both in passenger and freight transportation. Transportation in urban cities has to meet
