All forms of bullying, including cyber-bullying, are considered intolerable and criminal at school. In Grant Penrod’s Anti-Intellectualism: Why We Hate the Smart Kids, Penrod states his belief that we seemingly “hate” the brightest kids in school partially because of some of the most “noted dropouts” in today’s society. Also, fear caused the separation of the group in the sense that the boys feared exclusion and bullying by the hunter and Jack. The fear of exclusion caused of separation of the group. Many times in the novel, some boys felt as though the rules were not skewed in their favor. Jack and his buddies feared that faith was abusing his power and that the rules weren 't fair nor were they in their favor. This feat caused the separation of the group thus proving fear was the root cause for this main conflict as well.

The teenager wouldn’t be bothered unless the teenager is going to cause similar problems with multiple teachers, then the parents will be dragged into a mess with the school about the teenager’s lies about her assignments and the teachers. The teenager would get into further trouble with the school and the teachers which can lead to the teenager to being suspended or expelled from the school. The teenager would not only get teachers in trouble, but the teenager is going to be causing multiple serious consequences within the family and the school. The school’s teachers could press charges against the teenager’s family that have brought into the trouble with the teenager’s lies. The teenager would be looked down upon by her parents, teachers, classmates, neighbors, and the school.
This can also be related to the gang conflict. If at a young age, a child learns that their parents are not trustworthy or reliable, they will be skeptical of their parent’s warnings to not hang out with those bad kids across the street. Consequently, their resentment towards their parent(s) will lead them to disregard their opinions and possibly hang out with those kids they were warned about just to spite their parents. In addition, to their lack of identity, their inability to evaluate character leads teens to crumble under peer pressure and ultimately make illegal decisions that will prompt their unfortunate encounter with the punitive justice
