Sadly this whole problem was started by humans. This exotic pets we brought here because greedy pet store owners want to sell them to uneducated pet owners. All the pet store owners want is money and are not worried about the repercussions. Those who buy these animals don’t know how to take care of them and the snakes grow larger than they expected. So the owners don’t know what to do so they release them into the wild.
The majority of the invasive species are introduced through irresponsible owners letting their pets go. If there was a restriction on invasive species easily going out pet store doors, many pet owners would be saved the trouble. If a licence was required, inexperienced people would not even think to just buy an exotic species. With people already currently owning an exotic species that they can no longer handle, their is still an option for them. Every year in florida there is a pet amnesty day in many areas where you can take your exotic species to give up, no questions asked.
A guest with a disability who uses a service animal has the same right as those non-disability guests to occupy any available room in a hotel, and their assisting animals should not be segregated in a particular area or removed because they are animals. ADA prohibits the discrimination of service animal, and they stand as an advocate for those with disabilities and their assisting animals. Service animals are not pets, or should owners questioned for proof of documentation. Americans with disabilities traveling abroad should always check for accommodation policies, weather service animals will be segregated or be with them before leaving the country.
Pit bulls, should we ban them? You may know the American Pit Bull Terrier’s have been to bred to fight but this is not true. Pit bulls were not bred for fighting they were bred to work and herd cattle. They only got their bad reputation as fighting dog because of the owners who trained them to be mean and aggressive.

Exotic animals are animals that stay wild, do not have resources that are easily accessible, and can be dangerous which means that humans should not be allowed to keep them as pets. Imagine living in the perfect home, the place you’ve always lived with friends, family and thousands of miles to roam around and explore. Only to wake up in a cage with the eyes of humans glaring and the flash of cameras reflecting off the glass wall. It looks like home, but the grass is fake, family and friends are gone, food only comes at certain times and the only roaming there is to do remains in the area of the closure. This is the life of an animal that goes from being wild and free to captive in zoos and aquariums. Zoos and aquariums are institutions that capture live animals and keep them in cages or large enclosures for public exhibition.
Animal cruelty is becoming an issue that is too big to ignore. It can be defined as neglect or the infliction of pain or suffering towards animals. One might notice that this is an issue that is becoming more common in zoos and aquariums. These places can be wonderful for the animals, but can also portray an awful life for the captive animals. No animal should have to go through the pain and stress that many are suffering through.
I believe that this will change as you will all take part in the upcoming poll and vote for the right to exotic pet ownership. As a member of the board of “American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals” (ASPCA), I shall provide a comprehensive view of the problem and propose a law that will benefit all parties. Yes, I agree that these animals can be dangerous, but as a part of the state, we should also respect people’s freedom of choice. I am not suggesting to ban all ownership of exotic animals. Instead, a more reasonable proposal will be to establish a law in order to make sure our neighbors are safe, the animals are safe and the owners are safe.
