Abstract
A constructivist approach in teaching is very different from the traditional approach in teaching. It requires the teacher to take upon the role of a guide and a facilitator and encouraging learners to actively participate in the learning process. Attitude of teachers towards this approach will determined the way it will be adopted in classroom teaching and organization. This study aims to find out the attitude of teachers towards constructivist approach in teaching. For this, a Teachers Attitude Scale towards Constructivist Approach in Teaching (TASCAT) was administered to 524 student teachers. Findings reveal that the participants of the study have an unfavourable attitude towards constructivist approach in teaching and there is no significant difference in the attitude towards constructivist approach with respect to gender.

I. INTRODUCTION
Constructivism is a theory that believes that human generates knowledge and understanding as a result of their ideas and experiences. It is founded on the premise that by reflecting on our experiences, we construct our own understanding of the world we live in.
The failure of realists and liberals to predict the end of the Cold War has sharply increased the recognition of constructivists. Constructivists begin to participate in the main international relations theoretical debates from 1989 when a book of Nicholas Onuf «World of Our Making» was published and a term «constructivism» was used for the first time. Constructivism is criticising realists and liberals traditional statistical approach to the analysis of international relations focusing on the fact that international relations is a social construction (Alexander Wendt, Social Theory of International Politics, 1999 p. xiii). Whilst realism is dealing with security issues and material forces and liberalism refers to economic interdependance and internal policies factors, constructivism is mainly focused on the analysis of the ideas role in the system of intenational relations. Constructivist ment that ideas are those of targets, threats, fears, identities and other elements of perceived reality that affect the state and non-state objects of international relations.
4.0 An Explanation of Realism, Liberalism, Constructivism and Post-Structuralism. 4.1 Realism Realism or political realism prioritizes national interests and security concerns in addition to moral ideology and social reconstruction. The term is often associated with political power. The term is often associated with political power. Realism believes that the state is the main actor of the most important in determining the direction of a country.
.5 Explain how own practice in planning inclusive teaching and learning has taken account of theories, principles and models of learning, communication and assessment. My delivery of teaching and learning has a strong foundation of the theories, principles and models of learning, communication, and assessment to enable me to make my teaching and learning inclusive and therefore more effective. First and foremost, my body language when teaching is very important. I ensure my posture is positive and assertive. When considering the Behaviourism Learning Theory, I ensure I have high expectations for behaviour, and I demonstrate positive behaviours in the classroom from the very beginning, this ensures that all students know where they stand in
As a mathematics teacher, one must consider diversity within the classroom because students acquire knowledge and skills at different times and in different ways. Several teachers are slaves to the teacher-centered classroom and resist change for a more student-centered environment. It is of paramount importance that teachers use various teaching strategies to accommodate students’ learning styles. My inquisitiveness leads my interest in investigating if there is a correlation between constructivism (active learning) and students’ performance in mathematics at the middle school level.
Constructivism Constructivism as a prototype posits that learning is an active constructive process.
Constructivism: Wendt, Finnemore, Hopf Social constructivism primarily seeks to demonstrate how the core aspects of the international relations are contrary to the assumptions of Neorealism and Neoliberalism within the frame of social construction, taking up forms of ongoing processes of social practice and interaction. Wendt makes the following statement regarding the tenets of Constructivism: “The structures of human association are determined primarily by shared ideas rather than material forces and the identities and interests of purposive actors are constructed by these ideas, rather than given by nature”.
1. Introduction Constructionists view facts and reality as formed by the mind. They see knowledge not as created but constructed by society. Knowledge is brought about through the contact of people with the social world. All recurring actions becomes a pattern, which can be reproduced without much effort.

In this assignment, I will be writing on how to apply the principles of pedagogy in my area of specialism. Effective teacher uses diverse teaching strategies and universal approaches that suit situations, different strategies in different grouping of learners to improve learning outcomes, There are different teaching styles that suit different learners backgrounds and ability. Teachers are ldentified in their profession as ‘learning specialist’ , and there are five principles of good pedagogy which are Motivation, Exposition, Direction of activity and Inviting imitation. Andragogy is the best approach for effective delivery and pedagogy, both approaches must be used to ensure effective delivery. The principle is the idea of the curriculum and requirement of my subject area, I adopted pedagogy and andragogy that learners will understand The word motivation preceeds teaching at all times the teacher is preparing for delivery of effective and engaging instructional process.
Starting in 1919, constructivism was a building and imaginative development, began in Russia. This was essentially a dismissal of the thought of self-sufficient workmanship. This development was urged craftsmanship to be a practice for social purposes. Constructivism had an awesome impact on present day workmanship developments of twentieth century, affecting real patterns, for example, Bauhaus and the De Stijl developments. Its impact spread generally all through, with real effects upon structural engineering, modern and visual communication, style, fil, move, theater and to some degree music.
A social constructivist viewpoint needs a view that teachers have a responsibility for understanding the nature and level of each child’s learning and to use that knowledge to build their practices in a way that is relevant for particular children in particular contexts. Such a viewpoint can notify practices for insertion that are based on a very dynamic model of children’s learning. Finally, contructivism 's utmost influence to education may be through the change in emphasis from knowledge as a creation to deliberate as a process. This legacy of constructivism to be expected demonstrates to be a fixed and significant modification in the structure of
The cognitive constructivist theory can be traced back to the work of a talented individual called Jean Piaget who was born on August 9 1896 in Switzerland. By the age of eleven, he had published his first scientific paper, and by his early teens, Piaget’s mollusk papers were published and accepted by academics who were unaware of his age. In 1918, Piaget studied zoology at the University of Neuchâtel and achieved a PhD and after meeting Carl Jung and Paul Eugen Bleuler at the University of Zürich, his career changed direction leading him to study psychology at the Sorbonne in Paris. His work involved checking standardized reasoning tests designed to draw connections between a child’s age and his errors.
“Sociology is the study of groups and group interaction, societies, and social interactions, from small and personal groups to very large groups” (OpenStax College, 2015, p. 6). In other words, sociology is the objects and people that affect our way of living. Whether it is one’s religion or a current trend that everyone is going crazy about. Culture, politics, family and many other concepts make up a person’s social life. Sociologists study these concepts to understand what makes society works.
One of interviewees from University A said, “Some teachers do not even show the marks of the students and even they do not give the grades to the registrar on time or bring the grades on set deadlines. The respondent goes on to say that the instructors give absolutely no air to students’ pains and the students’ complaints go even to the university president” (UAS5, 24/6/2015) and as appropriate feedback is supporting element for students to judge their learning as institutions should ensure that appropriate feedback is provided to students on assessed work in a way that promotes learning and facilitates improvement. (QAA, General principle 12). This indicates that student assessment and grading practices are centers of the tension among staff,
Following evaluation of my personal teaching techniques, coupled with structured colleague classroom critical observations, I was in a position to identify instructional and questioning practices in my initial teaching methodology, which had acted contrary to my stated curricular stance. As a direct response, when I critically addressed these practices, I was in a position to adjust and fine-tune some of my teaching techniques, and this led to an approach more closely aligned to a Constructivist and Process framed curricular rationale, and therefore led to an improvement in the effectiveness of student learning in my classes. While this paper has explored this journey of discovery, I am fully cognisant that there are many other areas where my teaching can improve in order to fully achieve the benefits of teaching in a Process framed Constructivist style. It is my firm intention to continually develop my pedagogical knowledge, especially as it relates and conforms to my preferred curricular stance, so as to further enhance my skills and technique
