“The woods are lovely dark and deep but I have promises to keep, miles to go before I sleep and miles to go before I sleep”. The excerpt from poem written by Robert Frost has been a source of inspiration for me. It motivates me to push my limits and never relent in the pursuit of excellence. Human beings have always strived to make their lives comfortable through new inventions. I strongly believe that computer technology has radically changed the live of people in an unparalleled way. Right from my childhood, I was intrigued with this miracle of technology. I would often dismantle the parts of computer or tinker with them with childlike curiosity; these were my fledgling attempts on Research & Development in this field. At this juncture of my career when I have finished my under graduate studies, I aspire to undertake an MS Program in Computer science because I wish to be a well-equipped and competent Research Scientist and I am sure that an MS Program would help me realize this aspiration. My under graduate experience has been a strong influence that has shaped my aspirations. During my under graduation in Computer Science my inclination for the various field of computer science intensified. Particularly, I was most fascinated with coding and core computer subjects like data structures, operating system and network programming. During …show more content…
It would play a crucial role in the pursuit of my coveted goals. There are various problems that could be solved by computers and technology today. For example, an effective algorithm for automatic garbage collector can contribute largely to Clean India initiative. Similarly there is scope for computers as a solution in other fields too. My ultimate ambition is to make a commendable contribution to computing world either by starting an innovative venture or doing research that could benefit humanity on large
This great example can be applied in my future life on my trek to become a writer. I can bypass the fear that binds me and replace it with steadfast
In the near future, computer will be doing most of things by itself, and what computer can not do is emotional things or using language perfect, so if you want to earn a lot of money and become a rich or do not want be controlled

n The Crucible, written by Arthur Miller, the play involved various themes. A very popular theme in the play is lies and deceit. The small town of Salem was all fouled that witchery was happening by a group of girls. Many people got involved in the court cases, and some people had very bad consequences then just being blamed. Lying only leads to the truth being told and having worse consequences for the people committing the lies.
Throughout this poem, Robert Frost uses extended metaphors to convey that every human has a path that causes them to constantly make choices that will continue to shape their lives. In the first lines of the poem, Frost states, “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood/ And sorry I could not travel both” (Lines 1-2). Immediately, the idea is established that the speaker has to make a decision.
My interest in the Computer Science major at Carnegie Mellon was first piqued while I was in the Microsoft Student Partners Program, where I met a Technical Evangelist from Microsoft who graduated from the course. I had heard from him how the nation’s best graduates of Computer Science were often recruited from Carnegie Mellon. Naturally, this keen interest sparked off by my encounter with him did not just stop there as I am now sitting at my desk writing my CMU supplementary essays. As someone who has been trying to find myself within the tech sector in the future, Carnegie Mellon’s vast ties to the technology world only serve to underscore its appeal.
Frost utilizes analogous imagery throughout his poems; specifically in this poem, he uses natural imagery like the woods and roads to signify these themes. The woods represent indecision and instinct. Everywhere in literature, the plots of novels and poems alike contain characters lost in the woods. Similarly, in “The Road Not Taken”, the woods represent indecision while an adrift traveler wanders lost in the woods (Rukhaya). Frost repeatedly uses this symbol, and “the image...has represented indecision in Frost’s other poems…
In order to achieve that, a user-friendly programming system was highly demanded for computer producers to shift their focus from “super computers” to “personal computers” (that was later commonly known as PC). Computer usage was limited to certain industries, people with the necessary technical skills and ‘hobbyists’. Several major computer companies existed during the 1970s, but the operating systems and software that were available at the time did not allow them to mass-produce and sell to the general public around the world. The general sentiment in regards to computer usage was a positive one but there was no technology user-friendly enough for the people to easily learn and use, nor were there computers that were designed and produced for personal use. Therefore, Bill Gates’ creation of Microsoft, both in terms of operating system and company, has satisfied a great demand that was in the general public, particularly the youth.
After carefully evaluating my abilities, desire to widen and reform my knowledge and aspiration to advance my career, I wish to pursue a Master’s degree in Computer Science at College. My goal is to work on the contemporary issues in the Information Technology industry and employ the knowledge to provide better solutions to the complex IT challenges. In the years to come, I envision myself as a lead architect designing systems which will get smarter and more customizable through interactions with data, devices and people. My whole life has been a multi-faceted learning curve which has prepared me to take the academic challenges of the graduate life.
Considering teens spend an average of nearly nine hours glued to a screen every day, according to The Washington Post, they should understand how their messages arrive before their eyes. Education is the fundamental necessity for comprehending complex ideas and computer programming languages are no exception. “In our tech-driven world, Hadi Partovi argues, computer science has become as essential for students as reading, writing and math” (Singer). Hadi Partovi and his brother Ali Partovi
PERSONAL STATEMENT My personal objective is to use my knowledge, experience, and skills with the intention of securing a professional Career with an opportunity for challenges and career advancement while gaining knowledge of new skills and Expertise. I have taken up every chance I have had to learn about computers through theory and also do practicals for the theory learnt Computers have been an important future of the day to day life as they have influenced the rapid changes in my country in the recent years, Information technology has brought practical solutions for the already existing problems in the country , I believe that this Master’s degree will help me attain my personal fulfillment and also be able to benefit the country at large, being able to help transfer different systems from manual to computerized . Information technology is a distinct science from information system management, computer science, and computer engineering. IT focuses on meeting the needs of users through the creation, application, and management of computing technologies.
The poem, “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost states that in life we come upon many decisions, and there are points where we have to let fate take the lead. “The Road Not Taken” uses two paths as a symbol of a life decision.
