Motivation is such a process which is used to inspire and increase the stamina, workforce and the ability to work. Motivation process also include mental satisfaction among the employees or workers in an organization. In brief, motivation is the ultimate process which inspires one to work self-intentionally.
The word motivation drives from the Latin word “Movere”. The Latin word “Movere” means “To move”, “To drive forward” etc. This explain motivation is the process to make things done. In a business organization human resource is the power or key to success. Human resource is different from other element of a business. It is has a different nature. Lot of various researches have already shown that internal motivation are preferred in making a person to work towards to the goals. External motivation also contribute to drive a person towards the organizational goal. Therefor we will look this two sources of motivation.
Internal motivation
According to (Carol, 2013) intrinsic motivation refers to the pleasure one gets from the task itself or from the sense of satisfaction in completing or even working on a task, intrinsic motivation does not mean , however that a person will not seek to rewards; it is just the external rewards are not enough to keep such a person motivated.
Internal motivation motivate the employees directly from the act itself, rather than something outside it. Internal rewards gives an employee personal satisfaction. It can be in the form of information/feedback, recognition, trust, relationship.
