Mothers Should Work
“It’s helpful and healthy for my children to see me working” (Author Unknown). That means work is the best way to give our children positive influence. Working mothers tend to bring extra money into the home, which all adds up to being a positive influence. However, many people say all mothers should just sit at home and educate their children because they think that this their only job. That’s not true because when mothers are working that does not mean they will spend all their time working outside and leave their children alone. All mothers should work because of two reasons, to get financially stable and gain experience from the workplace.
Nowadays the world is more expensive than it used to be. If the man of the family works and the mother does not work, problems will occur. When it comes to divorce women will face a lot of issues because they won’t a job and financial support. So, women should work to earn some money and support their kids.

"Thousands of mothers who go out to work are, in effect, working for nothing.” They believe that mothers that stay at home will have more time to raise their children and because they’ll have one job, which is to care for their children only and not get distracted by another job that requires them to go outside and leave their children alone or under someone else’s responsibility. That statement might be true. However, mothers can easily take care of two things at the same time. In example, a working mother can leave home for 8 hours a day to go to work while her children can be either at school or in a nursery. This gives women the option to multitask by going to work to earn extra income and also have the time to go back to their home for their children to give them their time
A Rhetorical Analysis from Anne-Marie Slaughter’s A Toxic Work World In “A toxic work World” by Anne-Marie Slaughter wrote September 18th, 2015 in The New York Times, Slaughter, the president of the New America and also an author of the forthcoming “Unfinished Business: Women Men Work Family,” argues that becoming a working parent you aren’t able to maintain a family nor take care of their love ones such as their parents along with working a full time job, having to deal with needing to take off towards your children seeing how your job can be affected by termination on some levels. Slaughter also argues about how the effects of the work place results in either one spouse being a stay at home parent which most likely is the mother in this situation which isn’t how it should be even through some fathers do the same also. She also goes on to say how more of the younger generation coming to the work force with
Goodman supports her assertions through a character from the television series, ‘Desperate Housewives’, whom Goodman claims reveals the realities of being a full-time mother. Goodman’s purpose of the article is to remind readers of the typical mother’s thoughts and occasional emotions in order to reassure mothers who are contemplating whether they made the right decision to give up their careers to solely care for their children and households. The author establishes both an informal and relatable relationship with her audience of mothers who are in need of
The market revolution was a term used to describe the expansion of the marketplace that occurred in early nineteenth-century America, prompted mainly by the construction of new roads and canals to connect distant communities together for the first time. This market revolution effected all Americans, just not all received benefits from it. Before the market revolution, women were not allowed to work outside their homes. Their responsibility was to take care of the house duties and the family. They barely had any rights because the male was the dominating presence in the house or family and made all the decisions.
This gives single parents the opportunity to work, go to school and/or receive training for

Many do not consider domestic labor as “work”. Women’s unpaid labor in the home maintains systems of oppression. One way unpaid domestic labor maintains systems of oppression is because men benefit from the domestic labor that women perform and they expect women to do it. It reenforces the idea that women are there to take care of the children
Furthermore, the domestic job of raising children is one of the most labor-intensive jobs assigned only to women. This task was one of the most beneficial jobs women had within the home, mothers are teaching children social standards and raising the next generation. The way a mother raises a child lays the foundation for how they will behave in the community as
Women’s success in the labour force ultimately showed that the ideal of a family in which the mother stayed at home to look after the children while
In the 1960’s, the women's population of how many worked outside of their house had been 35%. Also in the 1960’s, the work force women had increased by 6 percent since 1950 and had become 35%. Women’s employment with children who had gone to school had also increased. Women who had children who were preschoolers had been a major influence in work because ⅓ of them were working outside their house. Also, 40% of women with children ages six to seventeen years old had been working outside of their house.
For my argumentative essay topic I will be discussing why employers should be required to pay maternity leave. Most people after they have a child take somewhere between six to eight weeks leave of absence from their place of employment. There are at least four states that pay maternity leave California, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Families that have children should not be put under financial stress due to an unpaid time off work. While they caring for their new baby is stressful enough adding to it by financial stress can be a burden.
Women should request a twenty percent pay increase to even up the gender pay gap. In most jobs women earn eighty cents for every dollar a man earns for the exact same job. Employers should pay good, qualified women, who can competently perform their job duties, the same wages they pay men for the same work. Earning twenty percent less is a significant amount and it adds up over time. Throughout the years the pay gap has narrowed but it’s still not equal pay for equal work.
Yet, there are many problems beyond these factors. Why do women spend less time on work? Why are women paid less after they have children whereas men are paid more? And why do women choose more flexible jobs? There must be something beyond these factors and affects women’s decisions.
There are many examples on how gender roles have changed in society dramatically. However, one might imply that women working has a toll on the children at home. According to Source 2, on the bar graphs, 74% of people agree that having a job makes it harder to raise children since their mom is going to be busy most of the time. Regardless, this argument is not correct to make due to the fact that moms are working to provide for

Unemployment happens when individuals are without work and effectively looking for work.[1] The unemployment rate is a measure of the pervasiveness of unemployment and it is figured as a rate by separating the quantity of unemployed people by all people presently in the work power. Amid times of recession, an economy more often than not encounters a generally high unemployment rate.[2] According to International Labor Organization report, more than 200 million individuals universally or 6% of the world 's workforce were without a vocation in 2012 There remains significant hypothetical civil argument with respect to the reasons, outcomes and answers for unemployment. Traditional financial matters, New established financial aspects, and the Austrian School of financial matters contend that market instruments are solid method for determining unemployment.
