Additionally, this year the Interact members have selected me as a treasure for the school year 2015-2016; giving me the chance to use my leadership skills to provide a valuable service to my classmates. I also want to apply my leadership to encourage and motive others to join and remain active in worthwhile
I want to become a member of National Honor Society because it will help me enhance my leadership skills, along with other important character qualities such as academic achievement, serving others, and developing my character traits. Becoming a part of National Honor Society will give me opportunities to help and learn more about others. I enjoy volunteering in my free time since it is a way of me giving back to my community, getting to meet new people, and gain more experience. If selected, I will help give back to my community by committing my time to volunteering and fundraising for non-profit organization.
The first of my short-term goals is to graduate high school as a participant in the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society is a program high school students apply for and if they are accepted, gain multiple benefits from. Accepted students must have have high GPAs, multiple hours of community service, be considered strong leaders within their community and by their peers, and be of good character. It is my goal to become a member of this program because not only does it help with college applications, but it also challenges me to improve my strengths and weaknesses. More specifically, I’m wanting to it to push me to be more involved in the community resulting in improved leadership skills.
These range from the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Beta Club. These clubs have given me the opportunity to practice my leadership by chairing service projects and contributing my ideas to better the school and the community. They have also allowed me to serve others through tutoring, donating, and
Being a member of a club comes with great responsibilities and the opportunity to gain attributes to one’s character. An example of such is called interact club. I joined this club as a student of Neshaminy High School. I wanted to volunteer in my community and to help people. Neshaminy Interact Club is a service learning organization.
I will be able to expand my leadership skills while being able to serve my community that I longing wanted to give back to because of all it has given me throughout my life here in Columbus. Through this program I will get to know more of my peers that I might not always interact with. I can gain a better a knowledge of who they are. I will best serve as a member
Within a fellowship of individuals, honor is highly esteemed. The sharing of common attitudes and being united through service, binds a society. Being a member of the National Honors Society would bring me countless opportunities to further my academic career, allow me to give back to my community, and introduce me to accomplished student leaders who have the same perseverance I do. Academics has been a significant aspect of my life ever since I was little, I constantly try and challenge myself with rigorous courses such as honors, AP, and IB courses, I have also been on the honor roll since middle school. However, scholarship is not my only strength, as a member of numerous teams; I am familiar with the ideals of community and leadership
The National Honor Society is an opportunity for many students, who are well educated with dreams and leaderships skills, to upgrade themselves. The sole purpose of this organization is to endeavor leaders in different societies to help out their community. It will help colleges to notify the leaders when looking at students’ resumes, for those students in this organization will be the few who are well-developed leaders in their school. Since this will be the first time to be given the opportunity to contribute to this organization, I may not know everything about the requirements in which I need to manage. However, it is clear to me that I must work as a leader and manage many services for my community.
It is not only my intellectual curiosity, but also my passion towards giving back to the community, that will lead me to success. As a UD honors student, I plan on joining organizations and performing volunteer work that I have done in high school. It will allow me to consolidate my musical and creative passions, while participating in new extracurricular activities pertaining to sports and community service. I believe that with the University of Delaware’s many opportunities, I can have the potential to become a strong leader and active member of the UD Honors community. The lessons that I have learned from working with these children will forever remain a part of me, as I hope to grow to be someone who will one day be able to change society, and will remind me to always dare to
My motivation for pursuing a membership in National Honor Society is very simple. I want to help the community with a great group of people who agree that helping the community is a great way to spend time. I would love to be able to expand my resumé of community service skills. Volunteering for something I wouldn’t necessarily do would help add to my set of skills and experiences. Membership to the National Honors Society would mean a lot to me.
Along with character, kids that volunteer and provide service for their communities help improve the lives for everyone around them. Leadership helps show that these kids can lead their communities and this country into a great future. If I am able to be apart of The National Honors Society, I will strive
On the same hand, the community at Front Range has helped me to realize that I am not alone as well. Every student may have a different aspect of life and school, but there is a mutual understanding between every student and staff. Regardless of what your age, race, gender, or ethnicity, the school makes every attempt to better everyone equally. I share this sentiment about the school to everyone in hopes that someday I can come back and teach on this campus. By becoming an instructor, I wish to inspire students like me to reach outside of themselves and pursuit their dream much like I am today.
Scholarship is one of the factors that National Honor Society prides itself on because this allows them to pick members who are driven, have ambition, and goals they would like to reach. These students volunteer throughout the school and outside of the school. These students participate in extra- curricular activities and maintain an average of 88 or above. NHS students not only want to better
When there is a project in one of my classes I’m always the leader, but I always make sure to listen to my peers’ ideas. Although being a leader can be suitable, it is not about one person taking charge or doing all the work, it is about collaboration of your peers and working as one. In order to contribute to The National Honor Society, I will be pursing others to do well in school to become part of an organization that will help the community and themselves. Therefore, The National Honor Society should find me as a suitable asset to their society. If I am accepted into this society, it will be an honor thus the name National Honor
