In my opinon Lincoln was a strong president because he never once gave up. When he didn 't get elceted for president the first time he tried he didnt give up, he tried again two more times. Most people would give up after the first time but he had faith he would get elected. It was because of Lincoln that America won the civil war. He knew what he could do for his country and he tried his best.
He was a man that would not back down for anything. He stood up for what he believed in and what he thought the American people wanted. Theodor Roosevelt the 26th president of the United States was neither Democrat or Republican he did not believe in presidential parties because he wanted what was right for the American people as a whole. Teddy was a very active man constantly doing something like reading, hunting or boxing even while serving as president. A very energetic man that would drink a gallon of coffee every day so he was constantly wired.
General Patton said “No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. You won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country” (2015, p.3).Not only did he give them hope, but also, he encouraged them to not be afraid of the war they were going to fight. Moreover, Patton motivated his men, he was a great leader that led the soldiers to win the world war two, and he was also, a great
“What makes a hero truly great is that they never despair” said Roy Thomson. Odysseus knows that his men will die, but he keeps pushing on to get home. In the Odyssey by Homer, Odysseus shows he is an epic hero by his great strength and all his epic hero abilities. Odysseus has to travel home from the Trojan war, which he did not want to go to. He wants to get home so he reunite with his wife and son.
Ben Franklin was an influential man both in his endeavors to make the United States great and to better mimic the behaviors of a morally perfect person. Maybe his greatest achievement was creating the thirteen virtues of which to follow be a righteous human being and his plan to use them. Ben Franklin was not a perfect man but he worked effortlessly to try to be the best he could be. Franklin’s ideals are relevant in today’s world because no matter where you came from, where you are, or who you’re with, all people must be determined to be the best they can be. The lessons of Benjamin Franklin; to remember where you came from, where you are going, and who is with you; are monumentally important in this day and age because they are the fundamentals to achieving goals.
Martin Luther A person to think and speak about others is noteworthy, but to serve and to act on others is heroic. Martin Luther is a Hero, he is a great individual who has changed American History to this day. Martin Luther is a Hero because he exhibits bravery. Martin Luther King Jr. stood up for what he believed in and that was that all people of black and white should be created equally.
Shild’s son ruling as long as his father and as loved, a famous lord of men. And he in turn gave his people a son, the great Healfdane, a fierce fighter who led the Danes to the end of his long life and left them four children.” (Raffel and Frank, 2008, p.5). Although his son became a lord he still had to be a warrior. This idea shows what the anglo saxons value and what it requires to be the leader of their
Winston, who was at one time against the government, has now been fixed to support it. He has been made to even love his leader. The government of Oceania has gone through many lengths to change Winston’s
Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson out of all of these presidents i think that Lincoln is the strongest because not only did he keep the nation from seperating and falling apart during the civil war but he outlawed slavery 2 of the biggest mile achievements and milestones for independence and american history. One of the reason lincoln was the strongest president out of these 3 presidents was because as a president he went through the most of all of them" it was Lincoln 's leadership, his commitment to values, and his strong moral fiber that made it possible for America to find its way through the Civil War." (stone, paragraph 2) In a way president Washington went through a civil war also but He didnt go through it as a president
He was also a great supporter in creating a constitution for America. He retired feeling convinced that America independence was secured. He was a powerful leader for our nation and without him I am not sure we would have such a powerful nation. He mad some key decision when it came to making the constitution. He had faith in having America become a free nation and he never gave up on that dream.
Jefferson Davis will always an amazing president for the confederacy. In the result of Civil War slavery was ended. Jefferson Davis may have lost the war but he taught us the importance of standing up for what we believe in as he kept us fighting and telling us to never give up during all of the battles of the Civil
The American dream is to be free, for people to speak what they believe, and not be murdered for it. President Reagan, Dierks Bentley, and Neil Diamond are men who are strongly passionate for America and who believe that we should be able to be free. President Reagan was a every passionate man. He was a man who loved america, and not only did he love america, but he loved the people of america. He proves his love for america by repeating freedom numerous times in his speech at Moscow State University.
Of all the great men over the ages there are some who rose above them all. One of them, the embodiment of the American spirit and nation, was George Washington. As I have heard, throughout my various classes, of the very humble man who thought himself not worthy to lead the Continental Army yet was the best fit for the nation of puzzle pieces. This great man knew many secrets men still desire to know to this day. He lived actively and happily and understood well the concept that, “it is far better to be alone, than to be in bad company”.
George Washington was the first president of the United States from 1789 to 1797. He was a true hero of the United States; he is also known as the “father of his country”. Washington had all the best qualities a leader needed. He was humble, and he had no selfish needs and did not misuse his power to fulfil his needs, he was willing to serve, he understood honor and discipline, and he stood up with our fighting force as general and fought. He was a man who understood there was a God
President George Washington set a great example for the forthcoming presidents. He didn’t ruin the country, nor did he abuse his powers as the people of the struggling country had “feared another George III might threaten their liberties” (Articles of Confederation). George Washington did face many challenges however. Some of Washington’s biggest and most dangerous challenges included the failing economic system as well as “the British’s refusal to evacuate its forts on American soil” (Introduction). As first president of the United States George Washington had the opportunity to either, ‘make or break’ this country for lack of a better term.
