The Ghadar Party produced and published a significant amount of literature and spread it both in India and abroad. I through my paper would be looking at Ghadar Poetry as a part of this literature which tried to establish a contact with people back home and connect migrants abroad. I will also be discussing how poetry became a more successful tool of contact than other genres of literature. Contact means to communicate and the poetry Ghadarites produced and published, was successful in establishing this contact. Intertextuality played a major role in moving the readers after reading this poetry. It not only had echoes of Guru Gobind Singh’s poetry but also included elements of sufi kissa poetry and other folk and classical texts. The metre/stanzas …show more content…
Undouboutedly there is striking similarities but contrasts as well. The juxtaposition of shastra(books) and shastr(weapons) is interesting. Many historians have written that one of the reasons for failure of this movement is Unacceptibility of such violence back home. What aggravated this violence abroad and still people wanted to call their families and settle in these foreign lands. Many researchers have written how these migrants were well to do farmers back home and found it difficult to adjust as indentured labourers in Canada and Africa. Nayan Shah in his book “Stranger Intimacy” talks about ill treatment meted out to these people and how these served as the same purpose as slaves yet were transported in a more sophisticated garb. One can see the similarilty here with the girmitiyas that were transported in Amitav Ghosh’s Ibis triology and the conflicts, stress and atrocities they suffered. How fiction represents reality and can be seen as a connective link to other literatures like this Ghadar …show more content…

Both these stories share similar aspects. In both the stories you see that these traditions lead to rebellion or
The light of Gandhi’s lamp and letter from Birmingham jail both share similar social issues and cultural experiences, as felt by the individual authors. They both experience oppression by their government for its racist behaviors. In Gandhi’s lamp, the author, Hilary Kromberg Inglis, is waiting for her sister in police detention. She dreads the worst because of the apartheid government, who was oppressive and violent.
One example of similarities and differences of the two societies is the Government. In both of our societies the Government controls us and instills laws to help protect our lives. Like in our modern day society we have laws about seat belts the help keep us safe. And in the book ‘Fahrenheit 451’ the Fireman Captain talks about the Government taking away books to help keep people believing in only one government to keep them safe from war. “If you don’t want a man unhappy politically, don’t give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one.
The two empires share many traits, but they also differ in many ways. However, although similar, the Ottoman empire and Mughal empire are fundamentally different because of their view on religious tolerance, utilization of military successes, and women’s rights. To begin, the Ottoman and Mughal empires differ greatly in
Therefore, left India with pragmatically nothing on their land. Foreigners said to the British, “We are not enough people now to do what you want us to do. Our country has not many people in it and we are dying fast. We are killed by the work you make us do, but the stoppage of our plantations, and the breaking up of our homes.” (Doc 11)
The summary of similarities is how the racism and conditions were. How the leaders somewhat controlled the same way. How neither one had much freedom. How they didn't make much money when they worked. The importance of differences shows how they are not completely alike.
According to the text and its content the poem is carefully constructed to be formal and effective to represent the author’s strong opinion. There is and always will be political issues left unresolved. This issues are presented to the people in various sources. Some examples may be commercials, political cartoons, speeches, ads on billboards, even on the famous youtube page. One of the many political sources might propose something, but there is always another position who might oppose the agreement. The main idea to grasp from a political ad is the message of it.
The spread of Islam had been exceptional since widespread conversion in Southeast Asia started in the 13th century. As Islam continues to grow in present times, it potentially holds great political power over unlimited territory; Islam may eventually hold vast power over our society. Hence, this paper aims to discuss the use of Islam as a political tool and the use of politics in Islam using Indonesia as a key reference. As the process of Indianisation was concluded with the coming of Islam, the cultural heritage of Hinduism is reduced, and eventually, Hinduism will become heritage.
Undoubtedly politics is “the study of influence and the influential”, there is most certainly truth in Harold D.Lasswell’s definition of politics. Throughout the course of this essay the study of politics will be examined in relation to Laswell’s definition. Furthermore the concept of government and how people influence government action will be looked at. In Lasswell’s book “Politics, Who Gets What, When and How” he clearly outlines the “influential are those who get the most of what there is to get”, in his opinion politics was primarily to do with power and influence. Lasswell’s definition of politics has been in the past supported by prominent political scientists such as Abraham Kaplan and Robert A. Dahl, both men believe the study of politics is largely to do with the use of influence by those who find themselves in influential positions.

Among the 38 prime minister in Nepal, there is a total dominance of either Bahuns or Chhetris. There has never been a prime minister of lower caste. Although there is quota system for the indigenous communities, they are still discriminated. Dalits in Nepal confront an effective mix of social separation and viciousness that authorizes their below average status. Government inaction helps save this inferior citizenship: the Nepalese government regularly neglects to indict the individuals who participate in victimization Dalits and presently can't seem to make a far reaching get ready for guaranteeing the privileges of Dalits.
This is a very daring work, considering the fact that poetry is usually written in free verse today and drama has been written in blank verse, but the said novel has been written in iambic tetrameter.
