How has social media changed the way teenagers communicate in society today? Introduction I chose this topic because social media has grown to be one of the industries with the fastest growth in the world and teenagers impacted this growth. According to a Pew Research Center study, 92 percent of teenagers are online daily, making them “the most active social media participants of any demographic.” Since teenagers spend the majority of their time on the internet, the relationships with their families and friends is affected. Even if social media has changed the way we communicate in our society, I believe social media has changed us for the better because we are now able to connect with friends and family in a matter of seconds, no matter
How Social Media Effects Teenagers The How and Why of Choosing the Subject My goal for this project is to inform teenagers about the risks associated with social media and how they can avoid it. Teens have turned social media into a crutch for verbal social contact. Instead of having experience out in the real world with friends and family, teens have become attached and dependent on social media. In my project, I wish to show that this is happening not to someone you do not know, but someone you do. I wish to tell why social media is a dangerous platform that has taken a hold of teenagers lives.

From cyberbullies to predators, users of ages are not immune to the negative effects of social media. Moreover, many relationships are negatively affected as the importance of engaging in social media takes precedence over being “there” in person. As scripture reminds us, “Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:25 ESV). Therefore, it is imperative that social media use is not only monitored, but the usage is limited. Parents must lead by example and do this by limiting social media use and setting boundaries and demonstrating the importance of being present for loved

Social Media can help students increase wisdom in education thus it can also become destruction. In today’s world of connected learning, the impact of social media on education is becoming a driving factor. The world is getting smaller, and through the use of technology such as social media, the way we deliver instruction is changing. Social media has created many challenges ' not only in student’s education but also in the community. For instance, Teens and Technology would claim social media expands social circles, which is a positive claim for relationships. However, the authentic truth would reveal “31% of teens who use social media have fought with a friend because of something that happened online” (Lenhart, 2015).
