One of the issues from the Sirah is the life of Jahiliyah. Jahiliyah is usually known to be the period before the emergence of Islam. The word Jahiliyah which means the age of ignorance does not imply the reality of the intellectual life of the pre-Islamic Arabs, as they were not ignorant people. They were lived without knowledge. They do not know how to read as well as how to write. This is the problem. They tend to be foolishness and stupidity. Until when they being like this? But because of blessing of Allah to His creation, Allah sent His relevation. That is why the revelation sent by Allah was given to Muhammad PBUH step by step not whole at the same time. Same goes to us, we have to read in order to gain knowledge. Remember that knowledge is the power. If we want to be a successful person in this world, we have to gain more knowledge. Allah had said, Allah will simplify his or her journey to heaven whenever he or she gaining knowledge. From that, we can see that Allah really bless His slave that love knowledge. Reading is one of the key successful in modern life. Thus, let us follow our beloved Prophet to gain more knowledge after this. When we follow our Prophet PBUH that means we obey Allah too. There are many ways to make us love to reading such as going to library during leisure time, read the newspaper or novels. If we are too lazy to read real book but we still can read through internet, by reading the blog that have been created by others or maybe we can do online reading. Don’t waste our time, try to read something that can generate our mind to be more creative and innovative
To become a reader on the other hand involves more complicated processes. First, one must determine what type of non-reader one is: a lazy literate person, or motivated illiterate person. If one is the illiterate person who wants to read but doesn’t know how, congratulations on being brave and embarking on the journey of a reader. To begin your journey, start at the beginning, with the help of a teacher, tutor, or program, study and learn the alphabet. After this the hard part is over.

Literacy enriches our lives in an outstanding manner. From a young age, we are eager to sit by our parent’s side and listen to bedtime stories. Those who possess great knowledge are often praised among society. They are viewed as leaders of the future as they assume the raw knowledge will lead us towards a greater life. While the ignorant eyes focus on the intelligent, the wise become overlooked. Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave” portrays how philosophers struggle with others as they are often ignored or shunned for their different views. The “Book of Job” from the Old Testament also shows the ignorance that is apparent in the world as common people tend to stick to what they know.

In Pursuit of Knowledge Ignorance is bliss, which means people that choose not to know live happier not knowing the truths and dangers the world holds. People who have knowledge and know what is going on in the world can choose to fix the problems most of us fear but they always tend to overthink things and live a safer, more reserved life because they know the outcome. Knowledge must be pursued at all costs, even when it is far more convenient to stay ignorant.
Granger talks to Montag about how that people need to be curious in order to learn. You can’t force people to learn. “But you can’t make people listen.
