Throughout the whole book Sleeping Freshman Never LIe by David Lubar the main character changes his attitude about change. On page 264 it talks all about how Scott went to pick u Lee for the dance. This page is really just showing that Lee had become more mature throughout the book by showing that he didn 't care what people thought about him anymore. Another reason that Scott 's attitude changed during the book is that he learned to stand up for himself in certain situations. Towards the end of the book at the dance Vernon the football quarterback sees him dancing with his ex girlfriend and he gets really mad but Scott realizes that he can stand up for himself.
Chapter 1-15 Four is a Divergent which is a variation of every skill He is Dauntless, Amity,Erudite, and Candor. The people of the the world fear the Divergent they think they are a threat to the society. The people who scan and put the kids through the simulation to figure out what faction you belong to are unpermitted to give up the information even if they are Divergent. Tobias Eaton was Four's real name and he was Divergent and he knew it for a while and so did his father and also his mother.
The professor Louis Menand explains in his essay the different theories that exist in different college students and how society always tries to sort people based on their intelligence. Menand explains Theory 1 as students who only want to pursue the career paths that promise greatest personal or financial rewards. There are many possible factors like not doing a job that is connected with your major or memory loss. This is because some people realize that what they decided to do in college will not actually make them enough money to financially stable and able to pay off their student loans. So many students then end up doing jobs that do not correspond to their major. This eventually leads to the conclusion that what they learned in college did not apply to what they do currently for their jobs. The study finds that the student begins college at a disadvantage than their counterparts because with no prior knowledge of their new surroundings, causing longer time to adapt.
Alfred Lubrano the author of “the shock of Education: How college Corrupts” explains the differences and difficulties of what students can go through while they are in college. Lubrano says that when a student arrives at college, they lose their connection to their families. This is due to the extreme workload put on the student by the professors they don’t have the time to really chat with their parents like they used to when they lived at home. Also if there is an enormous distance gap where the students go to college and where their parents live it may create that sense like they don’t know each other anymore. I agree do with Alfred that college students change once they go to college they start grow apart from their families.
