What a bottlenose dolphin eats and also likes to eat for fun and play with. As you would think that a dolphin would eat seaweed and many other vegetable like ocean plants, they actually do not eat them. Bottlenose dolphins have been known to eat crustacions, many small types of fish, and squids but a smaller version of them. An adult bottlenose dolphin eats 15 to 30 pounds of food a day and bottlenose dolphins do not use their teeth to chew but actually they just swallow their food whole.

The Great White Shark The Great White Sharks, known mostly because of their white underbellies, are one of the most powerful aquatic animals in the world. They can swim at about 25 Miles Per Hour (40 Kilometers per hour) because of their strong muscles and forceful tails. In addition to that, male Great Whites can grow around 11.5 to 13.1 feet long, while females can grow from 14.8 to 16.4 feet long. This paper will demonstrate how Great White Sharks are an important part of their ecosystem, how their diets work and will adequately describe their habitats. As predators in their ecosystem, Great White sharks help maintain the coral reefs and seagrass habitats.

It is a common misconception of natural instinct and imaginative onlookers; these whales are not people they are wild marine life. It is no secret that killer whales have a bad reputation, however what earned the reputation was sheer unintentional killings. Orinus Orcas are wild marine life that should not be prosecuted like human beings, and the name “Killer Whales” is the result of false

Director, writer, and producer, Gabriella Cowperthwaite, in her documentary, Blackfish, describes the shameless hunting and treatment of killer whales. Cowperthwaite’s purpose is to persuade us into opening our eyes to the reality of what we are doing to killer whales by confining them in captivity. She invents an emotionally wrenching tone in order to transmit to the adult viewers that living in captivity may not be acceptable life for the whales. The film effectively showed that the whales should not be kept in captivity by giving the audience examples of their signs of aggression and displays of emotion. Cowperthwaite begins her documentary by showing how killer whales can become barbaric when held captive.
The differences between the diving patterns of the resident and transient killer whales are due to their variations in their diet and hunting habits. Resident killer whales generally feed on fish in the near-shore region. They tend to forage for herring or salmon cooperatively in large social groups. Since they move in large groups, it is difficult for them to hunt for food in short intervals.
(Blackfish). Killer whales in the wild are aggressive towards each other just as they are to humans, in 1989 an accident involving two whales: Kandu and Corky resulted in Kandu bleeding to death. (Kirby 2) this would have never happened if the whales had the enough space they needed to separate from each other. Contrastingly, killer whales in the wild are more peaceful toward each other and humans. There is only one accident of an orca biting someone in the wild.
The formation of individual or group bubble net feeding pairings for entire summers, or even throughout different decades, demonstrates humpbacks whales ' ability to form reciprocal bonds outside of kinship (Kelsey 2008: 59). Yet, the pairings only last through the summer, once the winter comes, humpback whales mostly return to their usual feeding ground. The patterns of partnership for bubble feeding might be due to the fact that during the summer since there are predictable and abundant schools of fish (Kelsey 2008:60). Feeding success has been link to the familiarity between the pairing. This might show that humpback whales are capable of learning and adapting to the responses of other humpback whales.
Unlike the old harpoons hurled into the whale’s back, modern harpoons are fired from a cannon, and are tipped with an explosive charge, designed to both make the whaler’s job easier, as well as to lessen the suffering of the whale by killing it quickly. Once the whale is dead, it is towed to a factory ship, dragged up the slipway, and processed, leaving the kill ships to return to the
All types of whales including, Humpbacks and Orcas are shown in the film. As the people are kayaking the animals are swimming around them hunting for fish. The scene is breathtaking because the people are so close to these harmless, majestic animals. My favorite marine animal is an Orca whale, I've loved them since I watched Free Willy as a child. There is something very calming about watching animals in their natural habitat live their lives as others gaze at them.
