Francis Marion was the best at what he did. He was like the Chuck Norris with his fighting skills. Even though he was the best and everyone that knew about him was scared of, there was still people
After the siege of Charleston, Sir Henry Clinton traveled back to New York leaving Cornwallis in command of the British campaign in North and South Carolina. On the morning of August 16, 1780, General Horatio Gates chose to fight Cornwallis’ force even though just the previous night his men suffered the terribly infectious illness of dysentery. Gates was confident in his American army of around 3,700 soldiers because they outnumbered the British army of around 2,100 troops. The American advantage ended quickly as one thousand American troops were unable to fight due to the illness they suffered the night before.

Young Henry Castleman woke before dawn, dressed and dawned his drum. As the 13 year old assistant drummer, he was required to assemble for the morning reveille, with Robert Averil, the 18 year old drummer and the fifers. A few tents over Francis Ullman would have heard the drumming and movement as he had done for the past 4 years. He got up, dressed in his Johnson’s Greens, grabbed his rifle and joined his fellow privates of Company 8, Captain Richard Duncan’s crew of 50 men and boys.
I agree with you in what you said about him being the type of person who made you want to be a better person. He was very inspiring in his drive to better himself and succeed in everything he did (which was a lot). He had a very big impact on colonial America and has a continues to have an impact on life
In high school, I was known as the party-pooper. Whenever we hung out after school, I was always the first one to leave. The reason was not because I did not enjoy the time with my friends or my guardians required me to return home early. It was because on the way riding back home, I always felt like I heard the sound of another bike tailgating me although there was no one actually riding behind me. I suffer from paranoia, similar to Doctor Minor in The Professor and the Madman.
Fought for his own conditions in some places to get out of trouble. People knew him before he fought for us,they knew him as a kid working on fields. Had a wife named Helen and she died at the age of
Daniel Boone was born on November 2, 1743. He was basically the man of all men, qualifying himself as a American pioneer, explorer, woodsman, and frontiersman. Just to prove how incredible this man is, he’s like bear grills on steroids (bear grills might have been on steroids). Daniel Boone was born to a Quaker family who were prosecuted in England for their beliefs. Daniel’s father moved from England to Pennsylvania In 1713 to join William Penn’s colony of dissenters as they were called.
William the Conqueror The Anglo-Saxon period lasted just over 600 years, starting from the year 449 to 1066. Throughout the Anglo-Saxon time period many great leaders controlled the lands. One leader from this time period was William the Conqueror. William left a mark on the land he controlled that could be felt by generations to come.
He also taught his kids well, even though he was a single parent, and a full-time working lawyer. He provided for his family, and never let anything bother him, and kept on pushing no matter the
In his public lecture “Bronze Beaked Ships and the Reality of Naval Warfare,” Dr. William Murray argues that each major ancient Mediterranean power built and maintained navies, as control of the sea was crucial for maintaining control of the Mediterranean. Therefore, it is necessary to study ancient naval warships and technologies to understand more about these powers. However, since the only significant archaeological evidence we have from actual warships are bronze-cast rams, Murray concludes that we must use every available technology to study and analyze these rams, to more fully understand ancient naval warfare. Navies are just as expensive and difficult to maintain now as during ancient times.
People disliked like their general being a man of color, because they did not take him as serious and did not give him the respect he demanded. Benjamin O. Sr. was famous and popular during his time and even now, because he was the first African-American general. Benjamin gave many things to society, one
Malcolm X “You can’t separate peace from freedom, because nobody can be at peace unless he has his freedom.” These words came from the mouth of Malcolm X, but who was he? Some people call him deranged, others call him too radical. But truthfully, Malcolm X was one of the most influential African Americans in history.

In King Arthur: A Military History, Holmes uses written work from the 12th century and historical leaders in the 6th century to try to piece together the legends and tell the military history of the legend. Holmes uses his knowledge on battles in the dark ages and applies it to the stories he tells. Holmes also compares Arthur to different tribe leaders, but in the end he reiterates that there is no actual evidence proving these stories. One comparison did stand out from the rest of a Roman-Celtic warrior called Artorius. I plan on using the story of Artorius because of the correlation to the movie that I will be reviewing.
