Such as war, people, poverty, and even themselves. Both Machiavelli in “The qualities of the prince” talks about on how a prince is supposed to be a leader and that good leaders must learn not to be convenient or compassionate to keep stability. Lao Tzu in “Thoughts from the Tao-te Ching” believes in having a silent leader so the people will do what he wants them to do and fill like they are not being guided.

Throughout the world, humans fight for control over society and differences of opinions. Different types of leaders which have different views of laws and freedoms. WIlliam Golding uses these concepts to show how a single island of boys represents the world.
A great leader understands the countless different factors that can arise when leading others. To undertake a role of leadership, once must understand that there will be more than just good times. At times situations may seem stressful, terrifying and almost uncontrollable, however, a great leader will utilize their resources and develop a support system to overcome any obstacles regardless of the situation. The novel, Watership Down by Richard Adams, is set in southern England, where a group of rabbits escape their birthplace before its destruction. The character of Hazel is convinced by his brother, Fiver, that there is danger coming upon Sandleford Warren.
During Colonial times, there were women who attempted to make changes in colonies, three of them being Phyllis Wheatley, Anne Hutchinson, and Anne Bradstreet. All three women tried to set the example of a quality leader, but according to our class definition of what a leader is, “a leader must represent a group of people, they must not be afraid to take responsibility. They must be decisive and have confidence in their decisions. They provide a role model for the people under them by being trustworthy and having the motivation to make changes for the better. It is also important for a leader to show discipline so that order is kept and the people remain committed.
The Breakfast Club The breakfast club is a famous teen film directed by John Hughes. The Breakfast Club provides many concepts of adolescent struggles like identity issues, peer pressure, stereotypes, family relationships. The storyline follows five high school students from different social status meeting at their school’s library for Saturday detention. The film depicts Claire as the princess, Andrew as the jock, Brian as the brain, Allison as the basket case and Bender as the criminal. However, later in the film, they realize that they are more than what society portrays them and that they have more in common than they thought.
The movie that I had chosen was Disney movie, Mulan. In this movie, Fa Mulan, as the only daughter in her family, she took the place of her father to participate in the war as a man without telling her family. In the barrack she show her ability of leadership and the soldiers had confidence towards her, hence, to follower her ideas. The definition of leadership is the capacity of an organization’s administration to set and accomplish goals, make immediate and conclusive move, perform better than competitors, as well as motivating others to perform better. (Anon., 2010)
Some leaders are made, some Leaders like Pai are naturally born leaders. Pai is the natural born leader of Whangara because she was able to pass one of the physical tests. Hoosiers is a film following the journey of Coach Dale and how he brings a troubled basketball team from hometown champions to state champions. The film depicts power struggle, getting out of your comfort zone, and what a true leader looks like. This paper aims to highlight how Coach Dale is a leader and the different concepts that apply to his leadership style. Coach Dale’s leadership can be connected to the five practices of the “Ten Commitment of Leadership”. The first practice listed is “Challenging the Process”.
The leadership ideas conveyed in the movie, Inception, are shown diversely within the characters, the inception team, and the target organization of their mission. The members of Dominic Cobb’s team implanting the idea into the subject’s mind have designated roles that exemplify many leadership theories and their effects on the team and their task. These characters in the movie, such as Dom, Ariadne, and Saito all influence each other as leaders in their roles and contribute to their task to place an idea that would change Robert Fischer’s subconscious and mind forever. Leadership concepts such as the Glass Cliff, influence tactics, power relations, etc., shown in their “dream” team, are evident within the successful completion of Saito’s task

I think the story revolves around being a leader instead of a follower.

In the movie we are introduced to Mr. Burry who is a Managing Director at Scion capital who one day comes up with the theory that Americas Housing Market will one day fail because of how many mortgages are being taken out. Burry makes this discovery on his own-with the help of the internet-but doesn’t seem to ‘need’ the help of others. He does ask an opinion from a new worker David but doesn’t seem to keep him too fully involved in the matter. He later on tells Lawrence, his business partner and that’s the only person he seems to confide in and he (Lawrence) gives his opinion on the matter but lets himself make all decisions, and this is an example of an autocratic leader who makes all his/her own decisions. V. Taxonomy of Social Power As the reasons behind a lot of the characters’ actions are to acquire their own materialistic desires, the aspects of power and influence are important to recognize in the analysis of the behaviors portrayed in the movie Inception. As the movie progresses and more is revealed about Dom, it is very evident that he is recognized infamously for his skills in the art of extraction, the subconscious of others, and his control and ability to structure dreamscapes within another ’s mind. This power that Dom possesses “is the power of knowledge” and the ability to “influence others through their relative expertise” is known as expert power (Leadership: Enhancing the lessons of experience, pg. 57, 2015).
