Abstract— The paper addresses the use of optical reflective sensor in the process of testing certain electrical components such as relays, switches, contactors etc. The sensor is stationary and is placed to detect the position of the electrical component that moves on the conveyor belt. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming is used to carry out the process depending on the output indicated by the optical-reflective sensor. PLC programming is used to reduce the tedious wiring and take into account the reduction of power consumption in case the conveyor belt is not used for a certain period of time. The paper brings out an important application of the optical reflective sensor in combination with PLC programming to carry out an effective batch process between the manufacturing and testing process with ease and to save energy. Also using the pipelining concept to save time and increase throughput. Index Terms— Optical reflective sensor, LC (programmable logic controller), conveyor, saves energy and power, reduces manual labor, pitching, counter, pipelining. I. We are using the reflective sensor which has a photo-detector and infrared emitter placed next to each other. When an object is in the sensing area, the light emitted is reflected back to the photo detector, hence the amount of light reaching the detector increases. The change in light energy or photo current is therefore used as an input signal in the application such as the one explained in this paper (In the programmable logic controller). Reflective materials that can be used are a metal mirror or an industry-standard reference surface called the Kodak neutral card commonly known as the gray or white card. The white card has a reflection factor of 90 % while the gray card has a factor of 18
Career Episode One Introduction C.E 1.1 I completed this collective project in the optoelectronic information laboratory of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology from July to October 2011 when learning the photoelectric detection technology. As the team leader, I completed the project design, team organization, actual operation and other core work. Background C.E 1.2 Upon completion of the basic course research in the freshman and sophomore year, my teacher Ling Chen believed that he should enhanced our practical ability, so he provided us with the topic of the research on lubricating oil film thickness precision detection technology of the sliding bearing based on the principle of the optical fiber displacement sensor. Our research object was water film thickness detection.
Experiment 7 In this experiment we configured several DC circuits consisting of an emf and a network of resistors. The circuits were composed of a power supply, two DMMs, a circuit board, an SPST switch, and an assortment of known resistors along with one unknown resistor. We measured the current and voltage of the entire circuit as well as the potential drops across each resistor to determine the parameters of the circuit including the resistance, voltage, and current for each component.
Before reading “Nickel and Dimed: On (NOT) Getting by in America”, my perception of blue collar Americans is much different. I had figured that blue collared workers in lower paying jobs were not very hard working people, and that they still made enough money to have decent living conditions. Before reading Nickel and Dimed I thought that if you had a job and were not making enough to get by that you were probably a lazy person. Reading Nickel and Dimed really opened my eyes to the quality of life workers in these jobs have made me realize that you can be employed at a Walmart or as a hotel maid like Barbara Ehrenreich was and still be living in poverty. I learned pretty early into Nickel and Dimed that only having one job at this level of jobs
I learned about Occidental from my family, my cousin Brian Smith is the offensive coordinator for Oxy's football team and his wife Liane Smith works for Oxy as well. When I visited Oxy I was able to experience the school for what it really is, an amazing community. Everyone I talked to, students and staff, were very friendly and made me feel right at home. I was able to attend the homecoming barbecue and football game and it really left me with a great feeling about the school. My main interest in Occidental is that it is a liberal arts school.
Time is certainly flying by this semester, as I attended my fourth visit at the NovaCare Rehabilitation this week and next week will be the midpoint of my PTA 211 clinical affiliation. I enjoyed another busy day at my clinical site; upon my arrival I checked the caseload for the day. With evaluations and routine patients we were expecting 29. However as the day proceeded this amount was minimally reduced to 26.
The temperature may vary from place to place in DC and hence the mapping of physical properties H: P × t × {x, y, z} → I, where {x, y, z} represents a point in the coordinate space. Mapping in G can be determined by the result of the algorithm whereas mapping in H determined by the physical process or through signal processing. The traditional goals of integrity, availability and confidentiality are interpreted for CPS. The lack of integrity leads to deception where the authorized user receives false data and accepts that as true. When the system results in DoS, it refers to the lack of availability and not compromise their services [3].Let y indicate the sensor measurement and u the control command sent to the actuator.
There are many things I learned in my interview with Rosemary Plorin. I learned what skills are invaluable in the public relations field. What seemed to be most impressive about Plorin is growth from her humble beginnings. She did not go to college bright-eyed and ready to become the healthcare PR powerhouse she is today. She underwent a gradual change that required introspective reflection.
I started to plan my Core Night project almost a month before the deadline. I had many ideas about what I should make and present at the Core Night. However, most of them did not make sense and did not go with my class and Merrill college itself. I was struggling to come up with a plan about what I should do for Core Night. After thinking a lot about what should I do, I thought that I am a science major and I can combine science and history together and make a three-dimensional model.

While reading “Crispin the cross of lead,” I learned many things. Crispin is a 13 year old boy who becomes a fugitive after his mom dies. While reading this book, i realized there was many themes to this book. But i realized there was one theme that stood out to me and that was bravery.
This paper is a case study reflection that needs to be applied and underpin the steps of safe prescribing, ethics, responsibility and legal of prescribing with respect to standards of Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). In this regard, I will follow the Driscoll (1994) Model of reflection, which is based on three questions that explains experiences, differences that are made, significance, and actions to continue professional development with respect to learning. Discussion Driscoll (1994) Model of reflection
Taking RE102 may seem like a silly requirement: a waste of your coveted free block, an insignificant class that only meets once a week. This class is a requirement, but do not let that deter you. In the short 10 weeks I was a part of this class, RE102 has prepared me for my career at NCSSM, my future college life, and interaction with the outside world. I implore you to take this class as seriously as you would any other academic class, for it will be greatly beneficial. RE102 prepared me for my career at NCSSM by providing me with the skills to be successful in possible leadership positions, living on hall, and my overall lifestyle while living on campus.
The Process of Reflection The process of reflection is central to clinical supervision. Launer (2003) describes external and internal factors in supervision whereby clinical practice and sharing skills are external and reflection is an ‘internal conversation.’ Brunero & Stein-Parbury (2008) discussed the effects of clinical supervision in nursing staff and argued that self-reflection generates a sense of self-awareness and knowledge to the individual. Supervisees or students may be asked what happened during a clinical event, how they felt, the implications of their actions and what they would do differently if faced with the same situation.
Introduction In this reflective essay I will reflect upon the course based on the assignments and projects I have accomplished this semester. Recent research (Kornblith, 2012:3) identifies that reflection is an active process and making sense of the experience through the understanding of one’s actions. As suggested by (Roberts, 2011:63) she states that the understanding of reflection have been used to develop an action stage, which can further help to improve my skills and knowledge towards my course. This is vital as it ensures that i get the most out of my learning experience and i could use them to their maximum benefit.
It will check the people in the room and according to that light will be adjusted. It also has the sensor like, if anyone enters the room light will be on. 4.Smart
