I would like to get better at baseball because that's what i like to do is play baseball. The thing about baseball is that it's a fun sport to play. I played since i was 6. To get better i must get better at throwing, bating, Etc,... Also i have to amplify my skills. I have to have a better throwing arm. The reason i have to enhance my throwing arm so i can throw farther.
Key. Session1.Journal In my young life, I have been through many experiences that have altered my path and my thinking in some fashion. There is one experience in particular that stands out the most. I was a 16-year-old student athlete with no real worries or responsibilities.
Baseball Narrative Rough Draft I was so nervous for this morning’s competition. Today was the day that I had the chance to show to a judge what I had to offer into the heat of the KMEA Piano Kansas State Competition. The songs that I had practiced over from June to October were mere children’s play compared to others in the group who played pieces like Claire de Lune and the 12 Variations of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (no one in middle school with common sense would choose repertoire made for high schoolers). “Melody, make sure you go over the spots in your songs that you need to work on”, Mom said, shattering my thought process.
It all started a year ago when my name got called in the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York. “With the first overall pick in the 2016 NHL entry draft the Carolina Hurricanes are proud to select Samual Cane.” It was a dream come true for me and for the organization and the fans. My draft stock went up throughout the year from being projected not to be drafted, to a clear number one above players like Austin Matthews, Matthew Tkachuk, and Jacob Chychrun. This was a miracle to most people, but this wasn’t the highlight of the season.
Harper’s first full year without injury came last year where the 23 year-old played in 153 games. The league found out fast that if you give the emerging superstar a full year, you can take the “emerging” part out of the equation and just call him a superstar. His 2015 season read like this; .330 avg, .460 OBP, .649 SLG, 42 HRs, 99 RBI and 38 doubles.
In the past, the face of baseball was scattered but pretty easy to find. We’ll start this in the ‘90s—because that’s when I was born, so yes I’m a millennial and like the bat-flip—but I’ll talk about that later. Let’s start in the ‘90s where baseball was quote, unquote reborn with Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire hitting a homerun every other time they stepped to the plate.
Softball. My favorite sport. It’s not a contact sport so, the chances of me injuring another player are slim to none. Or so i thought….. I was in Traverse City last year with my team for a softball tournament.
8:01 AM; I’ve got just enough time to finish the last question on my history homework before the first bell rings. I was weaving my way through the crowd on my way to the library when my friend Josh interrupted my plan. He dragged me over to him saying, “Ty! Ty! I’ve got to tell you something.”
For as long as I can remember, my one dream has been to play major league baseball. Even though I know how much work it takes to make this happen, I wouldn’t regret it for a second. I have been playing baseball for as long as I have been able to hold a ball, but I know this dream isn’t going to be just handed to me. I know that I am going to have to continue working hard everyday but I am looking forward to it.
I had come up against something that I wasn’t good at, and it angered me. Everyday after practice for the next week or two was no different. I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting better and what the point of all this suffering was. One night after an especially hard workout I had a talk with my dad, who was an exceptional baseball player in his day. I asked him what I need to do to get better.
In my life, I have been through so much in my life, from good times, to bad times, I had to make the best out of everything. Ever since I was a child, people have been making fun of because of my skin color, and what my beliefs are. I had to deal with that all of my life. You couldn’t live in my shoes, anyone could try, but all of them would fail. In my life I had, many hardships during my childhood, as a grown man playing in the MLB, and as a Senior.
Everyone 's at least broken a bone or injured themselves before right? Well this is one of those tragic stories where I unfortunately injured myself. It all started way back in the 5th grade and all my friends and family know I love & play the game of baseball. The baseball season for the little league I play for is about to begin in about 1-2 weeks.
When I was younger, I loved to play baseball. I would join multiple leagues every year, and spend days in the summer playing pickup games with friends. Of course I had other interests, but baseball 's combination of technical and physical skill stood out to me as something that I loved. As time went on, and I became more serious about the sport, I began to realize that I was actually terrible at it. I understood the strategy and could perform any individual task, but I could never piece it together to play at even an intermediate level.
My Experiences in Softball Crack! That was the sound echoing off my bat. Down the baseline I went running, turning first base looking to see where the ball was. Sliding into second base, I was safe. I stood up and heard the roar of the crowd.
First home run Crack! The ball flew off the bat and went as high as a bird in the sky. Aaron is a young 11 year old boy who loves playing baseball whenever he can. Every Time that he would step up to the plate he was always swing for the fence and dreamed about hitting the ball over and seeing all the fans cheer as he rounded the bases. All of times Aaron had played he never had home run but was always close sometimes hitting the wall just short of the ball going over it: but today that was about to change.
It will be a long road to becoming a professional player, but I will be ready for any roadblocks that come my way. The one thing that I need to do to become a better baseball player is to practice. I will need to put time and effort into becoming the best player I can be. Another thing I will have to do is go to the gym and workout. To get strong I will have to work out so I can hit when I play.
