For a whole semester, he would meet me every weekday and he would oversee my workout, often providing guidance and motivation. Before our senior season, Coach Shambaugh met with the seniors and he told us about his plan for us and what he would do with us. One of the many changes that Coach Shambaugh made was hiring Coach Garett for the linemen. Coach Garett was exactly what the line needed he pushed us to expect more from ourselves and work harder. Now I am done playing football, I will never put on my pads again.
My favorite part about being in middle school was being allowed to play sports for the school. Going from youth sports to school sports was an enormous change. The players were bigger, faster, and stronger. Also, practice was much more difficult with stricter coaches and tougher drills. My first year of junior varsity football was terrifying.
I tried out for the football team and i made it and i got on the A team. The problem was that everyone thought that i would be on the B team so I started to feel bad. Everyone was thinking that I would do really bad at our first game. I was nervous but I was also ready to play. It was the day before the first football game.
Personal Narrative My eighth grade year has barely started. I have never tried doing sports in school, so i figured i tried something new. So i joined flag football just to see how it is, I was nervous at first on how it was going to turn out, but after a while of practicing I was very comfortable with going everyday after school to practice. One day, the P.E. teacher announced, “Alright guys you’re all soon be going to High School, which means it will soon be time to apply for sports in High School.” This was exciting for me because after weeks of practicing flag football, I kind of felt like playing real football in high school.
The first time on a football field and i was very hyped about it cause i got to play and the coach put me as starter because i was the biggest one on the field. The very first play we got sacked but are left lineman didn't stop the ball they got pushed over and we got sacked. The ball was on the 25 yard line and we were trying to get to the fifteen yard line to get the first down and we were short 10 yards but we could still get cause if we work hard you play hard. Then we said hike the ball was handed of to the running we tried to stop them but they still got the touchdown. They tried to make us go to right side on a counter play but we read there play and we stopped them from getting the first.
The first day of tryouts was almost over the coaches got all of us together and put us in to scrimmage teams. At first I was really nervous I didn 't want to mess up but we started to play and a started to do what I did best which is play my game after we played a was pretty convenient in my performance but we still had the whole
The first day down and many more to come for this ‘learning experience’ of a season. Once the season got rolling and we got closer to our first game I was getting really excited and anxious to finally compete against other teams. The day came for our first game against Benton Community and we actually played better than
Football to me is just a chance to hit someone down. Football is a way to meet new people. I was a receiver and I loved catching the ball and running for the touchdown. Touchdowns were the best thing that I could do when I played football. I never scored a touchdown for my team but it was amazing blocking for my quarterback and running back.
This movie came to air on September 23, 2000, and was directed by Boaz Yakin. This movie is about a high school football team in Alexandria, Virginia who were facing a new integration law at their high school and how their football team would be melding black and white players to the team. The team and coaches will have to overcome many problems as the season progresses, and become a family to overcome the obstacles thrown their way with the team captain, Gary Bertier getting in a life damaging car accident, and the state title on the line. they will have to work together and put aside their differences if they want any chance in winning.Teamwork makes the dream work with an open mind is the theme of this movie. A scene that accurately represents my theme is when the football team was at football camp before the season had started and the coaches felt that the team was not working together and practicing well enough so Coach Boone, the head coach, decides that until they start practicing better, they will be practicing three times every day until he feels that the team is working to the level they need to be.
That was until I met my two closest friends or my only friends for that year and the year after that. I had met these kids in the previous years and we were also on the same football club, however, we were not ‘close friends’. I became friends with these kids through a good game of pickup football on a Sunday. I don’t remember how or what, but on that day, Julian and Thomas became some of the best friends I have ever had. I know that 's sounds kind of cheesy, but that was how it was.
