Obesity death rates have increased, and along with it are the life threatening health problems. This condition leads to cardiovascular diseases, and other diseases as well.(Odelia). The poor diet, and the lack of physical activity are the cause of these cardiovascular diseases (Lobstein). It has been proven, the poor diet and the lack of physical activity was the second leading cause of death in the United States in 2000 (Odelia). These deaths could have been prevented, and they still can. There are still people dying because of this condition, and somebody has to do something about it. Even reducing the time people spend watching television could be very helpful (Han). People that watch television every day are exposed to these delicious looking food advertisements. There are a lot of people being affecting in this condition that a lot of people are dying because of it. The government have a great power, and by stepping in and reducing the amount of advertisements that people are being exposed to could save a lot of lives. The government could be helpful by forcing companies to have more space on goods food labels helping people know how many calories they in taking (Crawford). The government can also help by creating more programs in the community to get people more involved in their health (Crawford). People do not grow up knowing about nutrition, and how to eat health. Their are people that are losing weight or are in a diet in short period of time that they are regain more weight than what they had (Lobstein). This people are putting their life at risk in getting these diseases, or even dying. There are also obstacles that people just can help like unsafe environment. There are environments that people live in that are unsafe to even step a foot outside. The government could really help by improving the environment
