Over the course of the past four years I have witnessed an inexplicable and inexcusable lack of manners when eating among my friend group: Nicola nibbling her chocolate bar layer by layer; Emma peeling her grapes. Holly has been known to take the top bun off of her chicken burger and draw a picture with tomato ketchup. Though artistic, I would look away in embarrassment and disgust. Olivia munches her sandwich fairly normally, but upon further inspection I notice that it is still touching her lips, though her mouth is closed and she is chewing. Revolting. I ask myself, do these people have no manners? Where in past generations, simple etiquette was instilled in each and every child, it seems that is simply not the case today. And not just table manners. Too many times have I seen someone fail to hold the door open, or give up their seat on the bus to someone who clearly needs it more. Yet in an increasingly impolite society I strongly believe that such basic etiquette should not be forgotten.

The scent of hot dogs, the crack of the ball off the bat, and umpires hollering “strike” are just a few memories one will have after attending a baseball game. America’s game is filled with many sensory details, which is why it is so appealing to many spectators, as well as players. The massive fences in the outfield seem daunting up close; the players seem to whip the ball effortlessly, but with extraordinary speed. Spectator’s noses will be filled with baseball smells such as sunflowers seeds, which everyone seems to be chewing, or the perfume of fresh cut outfield grass. The home fans will be cheering with optimism despite the score.
I punched in the gate code and began driving down the dirt road; galloping horses roamed the 8 acre astonishing grounds. The commentaries of prior professors flew nearby like an old cartoon that just got whacked in the head and had birds flying around. Find a supervisor who will give you your hours and help you grow, therapy needs to be engaging, change the scenery or choose an ethical work place! People’s pet peeves can range all the way from biting your nails to swallowing really loud. Every person has their own set of things they can’t stand or that bothers them to the breaking point sometimes. I believe the epiphany of pet peeves is the “cow chewers”. These are the people that obnoxiously chew their gum like a cow. When chewing gum in public, consider the feelings of others around you before chewing like a cow, popping bubbles, and cracking gum.
The tongue is a needed part to the body which has many functions. The tongue is used to taste scrumptious foods which we crave, and more importantly, is used to form words. These words however, can be used for good, or for bad. Each and every word that is whispered, uttered, spoken or yelled from a mouth, will either be accepted, or hated. The words that are hated are taught to be put on a leash, but “Wild tongues can’t be tamed, they can only be cut out.”(374) In Gloria Anzaldúa’s “How to Tame a Wild Tongue”, Ms. Anzaldúa states the quote above. Although bold, I agree and disagree with this quote at the same time. I agree that wild tongues cannot be tamed, but I disagree that wild tongues can only be cut out. I believe once a tongue utters it’s first words, there is no way to limit what comes out.

The word redneck could mean a great deal of things, such as a hick from the south or a quick tendency to turn to violence. Also, it could mean your childhood was influenced by a farming community away from any major city. Some people might also consider rednecks beer guzzling trailer trash. On the other hand, most could distinguish the difference between country and trailer trash. Most people look down on the redneck culture, and some call it a derogatory filth (as Wikipedia calls it) that lives in the south where the shoeless hillbillies live, they live in old run down shacks cut into steep mountains full of black coal. Rednecks are usually stereotyped according to the impressions their accents give, slang, and communication styles. They do just fine in everyday life without proper etiquette or suits and ties.
There is no tell-tale sign of who becomes a criminal and who doesn 't. Many things factor into the development of a criminal. The debate between nature vs. nurture in this aspect cannot be blamed on a single element, instead both environment and genetics play a role in criminality of an idividual.

Why it works: According the psychology of eating, slower eating means faster metabolism. When we eat too fast, the body isn’t able to fire up digestion, absorb nutrients or correctly moderate hunger hormones to signal fullness.
There is nothing more satisfying to American than sinking their teeth into a Big Mac, Chicken Fries, or bacon. This may be a very disturbing image to many people. If it is really thought about, someone will come to the conclusion that that piece of grilled meat in between a bun was once a living thing no matter what animal it came from. Animals are tortured everyday just so humans can have a nice cut of meat. Not all people or companies who raise, sell, and slaughter animals treat them cruelly, but a majority of them abuse the animals unnecessarily. Three animals that are most commonly treated horribly are chickens, cows, and pigs.
