Pursuit of Happyness Pursuit of Happiness is an American drama film released in 2006 starring Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith. This story is about a father and a son and their struggles in life, leading to a one-year period of being homeless. This film is a true story based on the real-life struggles of entrepreneur, Chris Gardener. WELLBEING- CHRIS Throughout the movie, his physical wellbeing wasn’t impacted as greatly as the other impacts of wellbeing. During his time being homeless, he managed to find hotels to sleep in. This gave him and his son a sense of security as they would be a lot safer in a private place than in a shelter with 1000 strangers. He is shown to be able to sprint long distances to run after his stolen bone density scanner on multiple occasions. This ties into his emotional wellbeing as he is shown to be stressed which effects his physical wellbeing as stress usually does. When he gets hit by a car, he doesn’t seem to worry about the injuries that he may have sustained and instead gets up to go to work. His social wellbeing is shown to be declining throughout the movie. It is shown multiple times how Chris 's relationship with his wife has been destroyed. This is due to his job taking over his life and their financial difficulties, his new unpaid internship doesn’t please her and strains their relationship even further.
