VI. Self- Evaluation: Guided self- evaluation experiences can be introduced through individual conferences and checklists focusing on thinking processes. Students will learn to transfer strategies to support other situations. As an Early Childhood educator, I support using metacognition as a strategy to promote independent thinking. For example, my objective is for students to understand the concept of sequencing.
How to See Yourself By: Nicholas Mirzoeff How you See Yourself is an essay written by Nicholas Mirzoeff. It is about how photographs and paintings are viewed by the observer and how the image is presented can leave the observer with multiple impressions. These impressions may leave the viewer with not only an impression of the individual portrayed in the painting or photograph, but also the society in which the image was produced. Mirzoeff touches upon how a self-portrait and a selfie are very similar.
Self Assessment: Jacob Thomas As a writer, I have grown in many ways, First I took English Comp 150 last semester. This class taught me a lot about my life due to a book we read The Last Lecture. However, I did not like to read so I showed much resentment towards it. As the deadline approached I finally opened the book that would make me love to read again. In school there is many classes where I can express creativity just like Dr Seuss did in his imaginative books.
Taking the self assessment helped me to get to know my personality type and based on that personality type it matched me a job. The job it matched me was nursing which was the filled I want to get into. It showed me my strongest part and also it assured me that I am a visual learner. I would not know all this about myself if I did not take the self assessment.
As the saying goes, the only competition we truly have is against ourselves. Human beings have always been driven to progress and improve which helps them reach their goals and aspirations. An important tool to help you progress is being able to assess one’s performance. Self assessment is a way to understand what your strengths are and what areas you might want to improve in. By knowing what these are, you will be able to understand what areas of your performance might need more work.

Wallace (2006), states that if outcomes are not achieved by students the lesson is not achieving the primary purpose. This is why assessing plays a significant role in the learning process. Self assessment is a concept familiar to me however one that I am not very comfortable with for it further clarifies my realization that I have so much to learn in every aspect of my life. It does keep me grounded and able to learn from anything and everything on a daily basis. I work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and as a Neonatologist I am the team leader in a multitude of situations which require quick, precise and accurate decision making skills on a daily basis. These decisions are not always huge life altering moments but those that can have an impact on a baby and a family.

In the different assessments, I noticed that whether the assessment was regarding my strength, personality, or interest each assessment connected with each other, to bring me together into a person who applies her positive approach and uses her intuition in her career. Each assessment helped me take a different approach into my career exploration. They taught me how to apply myself and to know that each person has a different talent that can fit into any career. Taking the assessments opened my eyes to new ideas I would have never thought of trying. I can now finally take a comfortable step into finding my career after taking the self
To begin with, the self-assessment for enhancing my budgetary wellbeing helped me because it offered assistance with an understanding in the regions that I need to start spending less money on.
