Selena, a wonderful Tejano musician. She changed the game for Tejano music and was a role model to women, young and old. She had a few nick names because of her music and success. One was “The Queen of Tejano Music” for her splendid work and huge accomplishments. Another one was “The Mexican Madonna” for her clothes and her dance moves. Selena was very humble and a very humble person that brought her own style. She was a fashion icon to many people and celebrities. Although she didn’t live a long life as we wished, she made a huge impact throughout her lifetime. Even in her early life she inspired all. She inspired people to sing, no matter your age. Daughter of Marcella Samora and Abraham Quintanilla Jr. And sibling of Suzette Quintanilla and Abraham Quintanilla. She later took a break from her hectic schedule to focus on her life, she later married the bands lead guitarist, Chris Perez that April. Selena Quintanilla-Perez, a very beautiful legendary singer was born on April 16, 1971 in Lake Jackson, Texas. She was and still is known as one of the best female Spanish/ English singers of all time. She published many albums and won many award for her unique style and her amount of talent , she wrote both Spanish and English albums and generally had fans all over the world. Selena had a very kind personality. She was a loving and friendly person , that truly loved her fans.
She performed a total of twelve times during that tour and in 1990 she also began touring the Southern states of America after that summer. The Selena! The reason why Selena was admired so much was because Selena pushed herself when it came to situations that weren’t in her comfort zone. For example, her first language wasn’t Spanish. It was English and she was more comfortable with her English singing skills; her father pushed her to sing in Spanish as well.
Selena recorded Mis Primeras Grabaciones, in 1984, for Corpus Christi’s Freddie label. Freddie was one of the most established and oldest Spanish-language record companies in Texas. The only single and album, “Ya Se Va,” didn’t sell well. Later she switched to Cara and Manny record labels, but her albums didn’t sell well either. She was living in a van, the group continued to tour by opening for bigger Tejano acts in the southwest United States.
She went on to release her debut album named Whitney Houston and just like that it was a smash hit. Over the years, her single records made the top of the charts and stayed there for a extensive time. That wasn't the end, she went on to write another successful album named Whitney which went platinum. To top off her success, she went on a world tour. Whitney was becoming known because of all the work she has done so now she gradually began becoming an actress.
