6th Amendment I personally find that out of all the amendments the most important one is the 6th amendment. Reason being that it is crucial in aiding the judicial process from wrongly persecuting innocent people and it allows our democratic process to continue without preventing innocent people for taking the fall while punishing those who harm it. It keeps justice in check, keeping laws in line and rulings to be fair. The 6th amendment helps the defendants have an attorney when they are unable to afford one.
Why 2nd Amendment Is So Popular Background Information The second amendment is probably the most controversial amendment in the Bill of Rights. The second amendment is stated in the Bill of Rights as, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"(“Second Amendment”) This could mean that you have the right to possess a small gun for self-defence purposes only, but the real meaning is a very controversial argument. Focusing on this amendment is important because it is a very disputed amendment still debated today.
The right to bear arms is the most significant to the common good because it creates security in a home.
This amendment, along with others in the Bill of Rights, were proposed in order to ensure that the people would have the innate rights that everyone should have. The Amendment that means the most to me would have to be the 14th Amendment. It is important to me out of all 27 Amendments because it states in the constitution that all persons born in the United States are subject to its law. No state can make laws that will take that privilege away from said citizen. No state shall deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Also no state shall deprive any person the equal protection of the laws.
The Importance of the 1st Amendment In 1787 our founding fathers assembled the constitution of the United States of America. Of this which contains the most important document to the American citizen, the Bill of rights. The first Amendment states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances” These freedoms granted by the Bill of Rights are often known as freedom of expression. These rights are most important to a truly free society. The first amendment provides us with new ideas and dismisses the fear of punishment
Christmas in a leafy, upscale Chicago suburb, home owner Hale DeMar used his handgun to shoot a burglar. Trouble is , Wilmette years ago outlawed his handgun to shoot a burglar. That means it was illegal for him to defend himself. This example along with many others is why I think people should legally be allowed to conceal and carry a weapon or be able to own one for protection.
In my opinion, I would believe that the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution to be the most important amendment out of all twenty-seven amendments. Moreover, the first amendment would be the most dynamic of all the other amendments, laying a resilient groundwork towards the other amendments. Correspondingly, the first amendment decrees American’s the right and freedom to free speech, without restriction or limitation. As, the first amendment right permits individual to speak up against injustice, speak out against the government, and express our religious views. After all, I strongly believe that no individual should be limited to what they can say.
One of the three most important amendment is the Second Amendment that Guarantees the right to bear arms. This amendment is important because it gives people the right to have guns that help protect us. Guns also help us hunt and for most people that is a food supply. About three percent of adults own half of America's gun. Thirty two percent of American household own guns.
The Second Amendment protects the right of people to keep and bear arms. This amendment was a controversial among different people in the government. It was between letting the people keep their weapons or to not let the people keep their weapons. This amendment was important to the framers of the Constitution because it provided the country with a well-regulated militia. The Second Amendment states "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
The second amendment states that people have a right to bear arms under a well-regulated militia. This amendment was added to the Bill of Rights because the Americans had just finished fighting The American Revolution with the British government for independence-- Gun control by the British was one of the catalysts of this war. With the revolution fresh in mind, the Americans had registered that there was a need to unite and form a union; however, some Americans felt that a union could result in something similar to the tyranny that the British had imposed on them. They were hesitant of placing the power on a small handful of people-- The second amendment helped take some power from the government and give it to the people.
The Fourth Amendment is having the right to privacy; the police can’t go into your home without permission from the homeowners or the judge. Both of these amendments are indeed valuable to Americans because they allow us to express ourselves and be who we want to be with privacy. I believe the First Amendment is vital because it allows people to stand up for what they believe in and choose their path in life. It lets us convey with other people to express our commonalities with the world.
Importance of the Amendments The amendments are alterations to the constitution. They are rewritten rules, basically. Amendments are important to the United States because they add essential “rules” that the constitution had left out and without certain amendments, the United States’ government and way of living would be a lot different.
