INTRODUCTION
Paris, the capital of France is also known as the “City of Light” It is famous because of its beautiful city plan , architecture, museums , monuments, cathedrals, parks, sidewalk cafes, etc.
French is the only language other than English that is spoken in five continents. More than 120 million people speak French as their native language and millions use it as their second language. These people make up the French speaking world. Some of the countries where French is the official language are: Algeria, Belgium, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.
France is famous for its wines, cheese, perfumes, fashion, monuments, etc. such as:
Wines: Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Champagne.
Cheese: Brie, Camembert, Roquefort.
Cars: Renault, Citroën, Peugeot.

It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel. It was constructed from 1887-89. Initially it was criticized by some of the France’s leading artists for its design but it became a global cultural icon of France and the most recognizable structure in the world. It is one of the most visited and paid monument in the world.
The tower is 324 meters tall which is same as 81 storey building. It is constructed with square s a base measuring 25 meters on each side. Washington Monument was surpassed during its construction for making it the tallest man-made structure in the world. It was the tallest structure till 41 years until the Chrysler Building in New York City was finished in 1930. Due to the addition of a broadcasting aerial at top of the tower in 1957, it is tallest than the Chrysler Building by 17 ft. It is the 2nd tallest structure in France after the Millan Viaduct.
There are 3 levels in tower for visitors, with restaurants of the first and second level. The top level’s upper platform is 906 ft above from ground. Tickets are purchased for reaching first and second levels by stairs or elevators. For climbing one level to another, people cross 300
The palace took twenty-seven years to build but this was important for France because of its many uses. This palace had many purposes, one of them being the center of government. Louis centralizing the government gave him more control over it and made it more organized. Because Paris was constantly being attacked, they purposely built it a safe distance from the city. As well as setting this palace as the center of France, Louis also invited playwrights, poets, and artists to come to this palace in order to create a center of culture for the country.
The Sainte-Chapelle is a royal medieval 13th-century Gothic chapel, located near the Palais de la Cité, on the Île de la Cité in the heart of Paris, France. It was built by Louis IX for use as his royal chapel. Sainte-Chapelle was founded by King Louis IX. He constructed it as a chapel for a royal palace and to help him survive during this time period. The palace itself has been removed, leaving just the chapelle.

The north side of the Tower was designed with huge brass door depicted from the book of Genesis, starting with the creation until the first perfect couple were banished from the Garden of Eden. The masterpiece of the iron gates towards the tower was created with wings and exotic zoomorphic pieces that included wings and wing-like art forms. The Tower also has a sundial fixated on it, made from bronze and molded into a snake. As the sun moves from east to west it presents time on the 12 zodiac symbols used to mark the hour. Jefferson Memorial, located in Washington DC is a representative America structure that was dedicated to Thomas Jefferson in 1943. The memorial is measured to be 39.3 high with a dome of 1.2m thick. This architecture is designed by John Russell Pope and incorporated the Jefferson’s’ architectural taste. The iconic World Trade Center was located in downtown Manhattan. 110 stories high looking over the city. “More than 10,000 workers were involved in building the World Trade Center complex.” (World Trade Center) It was a dream come true for American citizens, 200,000 people visited these iconic towers daily.

In the current France, there is no absolute monarchy. There is no divine ruler like King Louis XVI. France is now a democratic country with the President as the leader along with his hers subsidiaries.
