The need of technology in this sector holds a steady growth. The functions of recruitment, job safety, data handling, salary, promotions etc things are demanding for technical assistance all the time. The first thought striking a HR’s mind is being updated. This is when generation gap fits in. Generation gap is a factor of ages which divides the workforce in Gen X [1965-1982 age gap] and Gen Y[1982-2000]. Gen X adopts the tradition approach in working while Gen Y is more tech sensitive. This creates a scenario where one section has to put additional efforts to keep up with the other one. Other threats like communication barriers are also involved. This factor parts the mind between imagination and reality. Employees who are more dependent over gadgets create a world where everything will be done according to them and on time. Basically this is just a wishful thinking.HR need to cope in such a manner that technology doesn’t produce a negative confidence and employees maintain a firm reality.
