John Adams was born on October 30, 1735, in Braintree, Massachusetts. His mother, Susanna Boylston Adams, was a successor of the Boylstons of Brookline, a protruding family in colonial Massachusetts. His father John Adams Sr. was a town councilman, a Congregationalist, and a farmer. When he was 16 he received a studentship to Harvard university, he advanced in 1775 at the age of 20. He was awarded his master’s degree in 1758, he studied law in the office.
I believe that the British soldiers were using self defense in the Boston Massacre. Through witnesses and evidence, it is proved that the British killing the colonists was an act of defending themselves. In exhibit A, the crime scene showed how the colonists threw snowballs filled with rocks and sharp things at the British. I think that the British were only firing their guns back at the colonists to save themselves from being badly hurt. I believe that the British fired their guns at the colonists back without intentions go kill, but only to protect themselves.
One day a chilly, damp fog rolled into Boston in 1770. Two British guards were stationed on King Street. John and Hugh apprehensively watched the streets fearful of what might jump out of the fog. Unfortunately, some colonists, who were indignant toward the British for their laws and taxes, marched forward.

The massacre was not all the britishes fault for an example the bostonians were hitting the british troops with sticks and throwing snowballs at them. The article states that the british are not to open fire on the bostonians, but they still open fired and killed five bostonians. Witnesses that were interviewed then say that youngsters were throwing snowballs but were doing no real harm to the soldiers and therefore they should not have shot fire.
The American Revolution was a time period where there were 13 colonies in America exploring more of the land everyday, The british shared the land with people who are called the pilgrims and ended up soon turning into Patriots and after that Americans. Great Britain started abusing their colonists while there were shootings and many taxes of colonists, many were unfair, and this led to the revolution. This war was between The Patriot/Americans against the British/Loyalists. The revolution happened because a few major events in history took place in Boston others will say it as British Territory.

I believe that the Boston Massacre was not a massacre at all instead it was just the act of self defense of a few british soldiers that were being attacked by upset colonists. Before the Boston massacre we had the Townshend Acts in 1768. Lord Townshend was in charge of raising revenue in a way that wouldn 't upset the colonist. Which in their eyes will be a external tax rather than an internal tax such as the stamp act. They are going to charge for imported and manufactured goods from Great Britain. The colonials were upset because of ridiculous taxing, which imposed by the British government. The colonist’s response to the situation was boycotting the goods. And so the British government dispatched thousand of troops in Boston, which created a tension between the colonists and the military. On March 5, 1770, the British troops gathered at the custom house in order to protect it. There was a strong resentment in the crowd, as they harassed the troops.

After the Boston Massacre, Americans have realized that the British would use force if it was needed to keep them compliant and obedient. The soldiers that shot at the unarmed men walked away not guilty as Crispus Attucks passes away and other men are put through immense pain from the bullets. The colonists grew weary of the control that the British had on them. The bloodshed from the massacre lit a flame under all of the colonists; they knew if it had happened to Boston it could happen elsewhere. They had to do something about this foreign force called the British.
The evidence, from the 7 eyewitnesses, support that the colonists were the aggressors during the fateful evening of March 5, 1770, the Boston Massacre. Some cited evidence proves it. Number one, “I saw the people throw snowballs at the soldiers and saw a stick 3 feet long strike a soldier upon the right” (Theodore Bliss). In other terms they were assaulting the soldiers with pieces of snow or ice at them, afterward they hit one of them with a 3 foot club. This shows that the soldiers didn’t shoot to murder, they shot in self-defense.
There were many disagreements and because of those, many events were the cause of the American Revolution. These events included bloodshed by others, peoples rights weren’t enforced, individuals didn’t receive freedom, and our country was just not yet whole. Despite of the causes of why the road to Revolution took place there were effects afterwards. When American Revolution was over with the The Declaration of Independence came into place, treaties were signed, and the Bill of Rights. Now these effects/events were amazing, it helped our country tremendously.

In America, we learn that British soldiers fired upon innocent civilians, although this may not have been the case. British historians have referred to the Boston Massacre as the "Incident on King Street". After looking over the "Captain Thomas Preston 's Account of the Boston Massacre", as well as "Boston Massacre Trial Depositions" I believe that American historians should refer to the "Boston Massacre" as the "Incident on King Street". The definition of a massacre refers to an unnecessary and random killing of a large number of individuals.
