Therapeutic Testing Throughout the Holocaust: Experimentation on the Jews during the Holocaust Over six million Jews were slaughtered throughout the Holocaust. Most died because of merciless situations and the notorious gas chambers. However, a documented seven thousand were also exterminated through medical experimentation. The medical trials can be classified into three main categories: endurance and salvage, medical management, and racial experiments.
During the Holocaust, the officers did brutal experiments to the Jews. They would perform fatal medical experiments on them, which was torture, just to find cures for their own people. If they found cures they would not help cure the Jews if they were sick. Once the test subject could no longer perform the tasks the scientist wanted them to do, they would kill them. To kill them they would either put them through so much pain their bodies could not take it anymore or they would shoot them.
This book took place during World War II Poland. In the book it does not really mention any dates that we could tie in with this time. There are several mentions however of signs of war for instance, “There were air raid sirens at night but for a few weeks nothing happened.”(pg. 26) This was before they were moved to the ghettos of Warsaw.
Strong people work hard for their families to keep them alive as they run into many difficult conflicts. The Holocaust was a dark and scary period of time. Many people risked their lives for their family, friends, and country. Mostly everyone worked hard together to fight the terrible conflicts and struggles of the war. Like the Holocaust, the Western Expansion had many different problems.
Chapter One When I finally wake the first thought that comes to mind is “What on Earth is that god awful smell?” Did someone forget to take the trash out? For a week? That’s when I blink my eyes and find myself on what looks like a dirty nasty cattle car. I am completely surrounded by people.
Historians have been debating how the spirit triumphed during the Holocaust for years. The spirit triumphed through the Holocaust through many, many distractions, nature, and the support and love of family and friends. The Nazis had killed, and enslaved so many Jewish people in concentration camps. But, the Nazis couldn’t take their spirit from them.

It’s Worth the Fight The word Survival is a noun in the English dictionary meaning “the state or fact of continuing to live or exist, typically in spite of an accident, ordeal, or difficult circumstances” (Dictionary.com). The Holocaust Concentration Camps: Auschwitz The Holocaust was a horrid experience. The Holocaust came about because Adolf Hitler was upset over the loss of World War I. Hitler blamed the Jews for Germany’s loss in World War I, and he wanted to take over Germany, with that came him thinking he had to get rid of all the Jewish people. So after the loss of World War I, he tried and succeeded with the extermination of most of the Jews.
The Holocaust dates back in 1933 to 1945 and is notoriously known for its mass killing and persecution of six million Jews. Jews were considered as an inferior race to the racially superior Germans, as Jews were blamed for Germany’s problems of war debt. This racial discrimination further resulted in the horrendous genocide of Jewish citizens. While this killing and capturing of Jews seemed nearly impossible to avoid, audacious individuals that were not Jewish risked their lives to help rescue seized Jews, despite the severe punishments of doing so. These heroic men and women are referred to as righteous gentiles.
Medical Experimentation on Humans Medical Experimentation on humans is Extremely controversial for some people. Many people believe that Medical experimentation is extremely unethical. Unit 731 was an Extreme Experiment,” Around 14,000 victims, referred to as ‘logs’ by their captors and including at least eight Allied prisoners of war, were murdered in unit 731 between 1936 to 1945 ” (Hill).There was no exact number of how many people died when Unit 731 happened.
