This paper is a rhetorical analysis on immigration and how it is impacting the GDP of the country. Immigration has always been an issue in the United States for many years and today it is still a major hot topic everywhere you pass. The entire world is discussing the immigration situation in the US presently because of the number of people it is impacting. The President of the US has placed executive orders to ban people from certain countries and many are outraged and disgusted. Information on immigration can be seen in all directions and places such as on social media, newspapers, discussion groups, radios and televisions. Immigration has changes so much over the years even kids have a say on the issue. I am very interested in this topic

When I was about the age of 8, I was living in Nepal, My family was a middle class family, which would be considered poor in America because 1 buck here is 100 buck there. Even though we weren’t the richest we weren’t the poorest either, life was pretty good as far as I knew. Until my parents told me that we were moving to America and that it was the best thing for us to do. My head started rushing with many questions. How about my friends? What kind of people are going to be there? Where will we live? I didn’t know whether to feel excited or sad, my emotions were very mixed.

All first generation experiences in America have common grounds but have some differences. From the first Americans in the 1700s till current immigrants, which included the Irish, Germans, Africans, Chinese, Scandinavians, Hispanics, South Americans, etc; They all had to adjust to American culture, adjust to the way of life, and struggled financially and emotionally. Some improved their lives in society while others had it terrible. I can sort of relate to the emotional and financial pain like most immigrants, especially of my age. I’ve had the good times and the bad, but I’ve managed to pull through. My family came here for a better life like most immigrants. I didn’t know what culture was, even though my mother mentioned it sometimes. I didn’t know what race was, what America was, life and pretty much just how life works. I’ve been in America for almost fourteen years, switched schools eleven times and can’t count the amount of time I’ve moved apartment homes. I have even been religious, private, public, and charter schools. Schools that were predominately white, hispanic,

Texas was not always a state, in fact, in 1837 it was its own country after it won its independence from Mexico. Once there were 60,000 inhabitants in Texas they created a request letter that was delivered to Washington D.C. to determine whether they could become a state. For many years Texas was denied because of Andrew Jackson 's greediness towards winning the vote of the northern states for his reelection. It wasn 't until 1845 that Texas became admitted as the 28th state of the United States. My life would be distinctly different when compared to the life I would live if Mexico never took Texas. If Mexico had won the Mexican-American War, not only would it change my life entirely but the lives of 28,797,289 other inhabitants changed.

Today I will be talking about the first time I came to America and how it has changed my life. When I was five years old, I started first grade in Turkey. America is one of the richest and safest place in the whole wide world. I was born in Egypt and came to California when I was 10 years old, I love it here. The reason I came to America was because of safety, but now that a lot of people have weapons it 's not as safe anymore. We should make a law about limiting people’s weapons and only people who actually need it shall have it.
