Let them be great again
Nowadays, the Spanish sport is supported by itself, the actual generation of athletes is becoming great thanks to his own effort, his sacrifices, his perseverance, and his strong thinking way, but probably this is not being accompanied by the necessary support from the government in order to give to this athletes the opportunity to achieve the results they probably would get if they had a better support, a base in which they could lean and from which they would be able to achieve their deserved success. This athlete generation is incredible, but with a bigger support like in other countries, it would be with total certainty one of the best generations in the sport history, that is the reason why this question should come to our minds, should Spain support more the sport?, and this question may conduct us to this request: “Let them be great again”

In order to be prepared for this event, the government made great investments in facilities and in sport education which persist until our days. This investment was great, many High Performance Centers were created, the sports scholarships were highly increased, and also there were investments in advertisement and television programs. This investment was based in the Olympic Sports Association program, which was created with the intention of become greater the sports results in Spain(*3). This document is an information guide given to the press by the Soviet Union’s Olympic Organizing Committee. It shows that the Soviet’s purpose in hosting the 1980 Moscow Olympics was that they wished to show their “peaceful foreign policy” to the rest of the world, stating that the respect for the Soviet achievements in sport were secondary to the political purpose of these Olympics. Since the context of this document is directly from Soviets, a clear bias is shown
The olympics are athletic games that first started in Greece. These games were later revived and are now seen as massive global athletic events that bring the world together and are held every four years. The olympics between 1892 to 2002 brought together cultures due to bringing together nations regardless of wars while simultaneously divided nation’s teams because of countries enforcing their own political agendas onto their athletes, such as Nazi Germany making their athletes prove how Nazism is better than democracy. Women were also beginning to participate in the games and at first were barely participating in the games, economically the olympics became more and more expensive throughout the years and became a cash pit for large companies
From a young age I watched the cheerleaders at football games in incredible admiration. All of the girls- in their sleek uniforms with pompoms in colors representing their school- captured my attention. I longed to be in their shoes one day, and I looked up to them. The cheerleaders claimed the spot role model to me for the majority of my childhood. I never realized that years into the future I would fill their shoes, and carry the responsibility of being the person little girls looked up to.
The Middle Ages kept the young boys version alive. There were still no rules. It was played in the streets and went out of hand. Anyone could join which lead to many problems. The game was too popular and could not be stopped.

Above all, playing sports shows us an important truth that life is always in motion. This famous notion was first brought up by a French thinker named Voltaire. Such an idea is simple in words but deep in meaning. The globe is turning nonstop; the sun rises in the east and sets in the west day after day; rivers are flowing towards the sea; time is passing; all living creatures are growing... all these events justify Voltaire 's concept.
1970s and Sports The 70s were a time of disco, polyester suites, pet rocks, but also a time that many felt self-absorbed and challenging. Generally speaking, they were mostly the time of political justice and the rights of women and African Americans. Therefore as the U.S got more in the 70s, they found themselves to be sinking down into a difficult situation of political corruption. 1970s Historical, Social, and Political Events
Naval Officer Robert Ballard once said, “Follow your own passion- not your parents’ not your teachers’- yours.” In today’s society, what a parent thinks affects what a child thinks. Children often values a parent’s happiness over their own. More than twenty-six million kids play sports around the world starting as young as age six.
The competitive nature of football in Latin America helped it flourish and plant deep roots in the cultures of these countries. The sport can impact many aspects of their everyday lives and lead to nationalism and strong pride. Soccer in Latin America has been analyzed by historians, journalists, and filmmakers as an important feature of understanding the country’s popular culture and national identity through the history of Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. Once all three countries could defeat the English National and club teams, soccer was a main source of nationalism and helped confirm the social development of these Latin American countries (Nadel 45). Brazilian soccer plays an important role in the globalization of the sport while directly
The Italian Healthcare System and Values of Sports Citizens in many countries have the right to obtain certain healthcare plans to preserve their physical and mental well-being. Functionalist theory generally leads to the conclusion that sports is well known in society, because they maintain the mores and values that keeps the stability and order in everyday life. Conflict theory focuses on the need to change the organization of sports and society. The goal of these changes is to give workers, in-cluding athletes, control over the conditions of their work or even their own schedule. In this case it identifies factors related to class relations and economic exploitation in sports. In the micro approach, it tries to understand the meanings, identities, and social relationships associated with sport
As this is an international event the cost of hosting it is huge. For instance, the total output of the 1976 Montreal Games was $1.48 billion whilst the 2012 London Games was an insurmountable $14.6 billion. Stadiums are built for different disciplines, and national representatives are invited to perform in the opening and closing ceremony, As a result the stadiums need a high level of security. In this essay I will be debating about the benefits and consequences of the Olympic Games. The three main points which will be covered are; where the hosting country receives the money from, whom it will benefit, and what it does to the country.
