There has been a lot of research into user experience product and human interaction. User experience is defined as "a consequence of the presentation, functionality, system performance, interactive behaviour, and assistive capabilities of an interactive system, both hardware and software." (Pucillo.F, 2013). Also it is an outcome of the user's involvements, attitudes, skills, propensities and identity. The happiness of clients and significance of procuring from slip-ups is the most important aspect of the success of a product.

User Experience is an important factor in the process of design. It sets a foundation for all designs and it should always be referred back to during the design process. The designer should always be thinking

User centred design is a term used to portray the design process where the design is impacted by the end-users. In (Norman, 1988), he explains the design should: make it easy to determine what actions are possible at any moment, make things visible, including, concepts, alternatives and results, make it easy to evaluate the current state of the system and follow natural mappings between intentions and required actions. These exact suggestions can place the user at the centre of the design. Facilitating the task of the user is main role of the designer. (Norman, 1988) even suggests that some manuals that accompany products are not user centred. They have small type font and the layout can be random. They also include so many different versions of the basic instructions in different languages that it can be a challenge to even find the English instructions. This is the very reason why most users tend not to read the manuals and just delve straight into trying to use the product. This can lead to a series of problems as the product might be misused and lead to a breakage of the product or even an injury to the user. Manuals are regularly considered to have a little part in the product development. Nonetheless, users frequently structure conclusions around a product and its producer by their knowledge of figuring out how to function the item and how disappointing it was for them to not …show more content…
Emotional design has helped built the designers knowledge of the users. It creates a link between the user and designer so the designer can empathise with the user. It also generates links between user experience and emotional attachment generated by the user when using a product. The basis for Kansei engineering is to build a relationship between the user and the product. The consumer will have certain feelings and thoughts when they are about to purchase the product. It is a consumer-orientated strategy that was first implemented in Japan. Examples of organizations that are introducing Kansei Engineering include: the automotive industry, construction machine industry, electric home appliance industry, office machine industry, house construction industry, costume industry, cosmetic industry and a few others.[8] (Nagamachi, 2002). A study of kansei engineering is shown in (Nagamachi, 2002) for the automotive company Mazda. They developed a sports car called the Miata which was designed for young people. They carried out surveys of customers, especially young drivers, to get details about their manoeuvrings, behaviours and attitudes. Their goal of this study was gain knowledge about how the drivers feel about their cars. They want to know exactly what the user is thinking and feeling when they are about to buy a car. The product development starts with the concept at the zero-level and this is

For my analysis essay, I will be analyzing the effectiveness of the rhetorical devices in Nicholas Carr ’s essay “Is Google Making Us Stupid?”. Carr, a writer who primarily focuses on technology and business, makes a bold claim that the ability to simply search for answers to our issues is weakening our problem solving skills. As the saying goes: if you do not use it, you lose it. Although he admits that the advantages of having unlimited knowledge at our fingertips is invaluable, he also claims that humans tend to misuse the Internet- as soon as anything requires true thought, they go to search engines which think for them.
After first reading the campaign that was put together by FleishmanHillard to promote Hallmark’s Itty Bitty’s I was stunned. Their research and the tactics used in this campaign were spot on, and one would not have worked without the other. By that I mean the tactics would not have worked without the research. From the notes and in class assignments I had yet to fully grasp just how important research for a campaign is until reading this case. For the purpose of this paper I will break down the contents of this campaign using the ROPE process and incorporating a few of the concepts that come with the Thinking Hat Model.

Graphic Design has always been an ever evolving and changing field. Graphic design-like activities can be found throughout history like the ancient cave paintings or the manuscript of the Middle Ages. As the true purpose of graphic design is to communicate, technology has since made this process more effective, extending the reach and spread of information. This allows graphic design to have a higher level of impact that cannot be achieved without the use of technology.

The cognitive level of analysis aims to study how the inner processes of the mind processes information gained, and how they are interpreted and applied into the real world. Within this level of analysis, it was found that the cognitive and biological factors of our mind influence how we feel, or in other words, our emotions. Emotion can be defined as the body’s response to any specific situation. As all human beings can express how they feel through facial expressions, this suggests that emotions are biological rather than cognitive. However, emotions can be dependent on both the cognitive and biological factors of our body.
Design Technology’s Impact on the Graphic Design Industry Graphic design is a visual communication methodology and problem solving using type, space and image. It is a subset of communication design and visual communication. Graphic designers use typography, page layout and visual art techniques to produce their final results. Technological innovation has affected the graphic design industry in America among other countries. In today’s world, technology has been applied in people’s lives either as socialization or as a working tool.

Cars technology is not only used as a way of impacting our lives but also to provide a more safe and convenient environment for transportation and even as a way of making profits for various companies. In this paper, I argue that there has been various advancement in car technology and those technologies have impacted the society both positively and negatively. There has been a massive dependency on the fast advancing technology by the society as a way of making people’s lives and those of others comfortable. People are happy about the continued growth of the car technology and the use of these cars in carrying out our day to day activities such as means of transport to work, hospital, school or transportation of goods from various places to our destinations. With the continued advancement in the car technology, the urge to provide efficient, cheap and safer cars cannot be avoided.

The ability to satisfy the needs of your customers will allow for your company to stay ahead of your rivals. Customers will be more likely to choose a company if they feel like their voice or opinion is being heard. Another part of this building block is the customer response time.
