Fox once said, “One’s dignity may be assaulted, vandalized and cruelly mocked, but it can never be taken away unless it is surrendered.” People will disrespect another person if the victim lets them tyrannize him or her. However, the bullied victim has the power to stop the harassment. The victim would have low self-esteem and would feel bad about themselves from the amount of harsh comments he or she receives online. When it comes to cyberbullying, the victim would get harassed online from a classmate at school or elsewhere on social media. For instance, a person can get bullied on Facebook by a user saying cruel and disrespectful comments from another person’s post. As a result, the person will become depressed and insecure. The reason why victims start to become antisocial is because they feel like other people would not understand the pain they are going through when reading the comments. For example, the cyberbullied victims cannot control the harassment, but they can control their appearance. The reason for this is because they develop eating disorders by becoming bulimic; which is eating large quantities of food fast and vomiting, and anorexia; which is not eating enough food to support the organs of the body.
